lol they always say mid-december but unlike this year the previous years they usually released it mid november
Watch your emails, guys. The YA twitter just replied to a girl asking whether or not things would be released today with a pretty cryptic “the day is still young” and a saucy emoji.
Winners list just dropped. Didn’t place at all. 
I didn’t get anything either. Very disappointed, but I’m kind of glad the wait is over! It’s interesting though that there were so many spoken word/script/nonfiction winners for writing this year. I know four finalists from visual art and writing which is cool.
Time to focus on Scholastics and my poetry book now I guess.
Don’t feel too disappointed. They are looking for specific things, in a specific style. Many talented entrants do not receive recognition with YA and enter the same material into other contests and win. They get admired to excellent college programs with with nice scholarships
I completely Agree with @JerseyParents. My D won merit in her preferred discipline last year and despite submitting what I consider vastly improved videos this year, didn’t place at all in that same discipline which stunned me. She got HM in a different discipline that I honestly didn’t think would get her anything. It is so subjective. A different set of eyes (judges) could have completely different results. This is one competition of many. Don’t let it divert you from your art and passion!!
