YoungWriters Great Minds Poetry Competition...

I have a question. Last year, our English submitted two poems from our class to this YoungWriters competition? contest? publishing place? where they selected some poems written by teenagers around the world and published it in a book. My poem was selected but the other one was not. I have no idea as I thought that one was pretty good too.

Anyways, I've heard how poetry.com is a scam basically. Is this one a scam too and should I leave it off my applicaion? They didn't push me to buy the book or anything to I don't know how they would profit from it if it's a scam...

Poetry.com is a scam. Just Google it and "scam" and you'll find lots of info about how it is not a real contest, but is a way for the business to make money from naive aspiring writers.

Leave it off your application. Any "awards" linked to poetry.com are meaningless.

Oh I meant, this isn't poetry.com that I'm talking about. But I was wondering if this is similar to it? I've heard of poetry.com before
