"Your application is being very carefully considered."

@BC2015: really? Congratulations :D! Yeah I hope I will receive the acceptance letter soon. Hope to see you at the U of Minn :p.

Accepted November 1: 31 ACT, 3.76 UW GPA, Wisconsin resident

S2 just got an update on his UMN account that he was accepted to the Honor’s program for College of Liberal Arts. We are thrilled! I think his acceptance into the U of MN was mid November so it took a few more weeks for them to decide on the Honors admission.

I just called the U of Minn counselor and they said they hadn’t looked at my application yet. I find it weird because I submitted it very early, which is in late August, and I am now still waiting for the answer. To tell the truth, it really makes me worried! I wish they could finish it up as soon as possible.

congrats all recent admits! :)

how long after applying did you all recieve acceptance stuff in the MAIL?

Im really getting ANTSY. Everything was completed and turned in as of 11/24. Perhaps i’ll hear something by sayy…12/22? im OOS as weell sooo…

how long does it take for it to turn to all materials received to your app is being considered? i had it all in on like dec 6th.

Ok, D received her acceptance letter yesterday (12/10) from Univ. of Minn-TC and is so happy as this was her 1st choice school-she was accepted to CFANS-
(most other posters listed CBS, CLA or Business when they received their acceptance letters in early November and D was fretting why she didn’t hear anything yet)

She completed application mid-August, transcripts sent (and ACT scores) late August/Sept and status showed “all materials received”… since then.

Status finally changed to “being carefully considered” on 12/3 and other posters are correct that you’ll receive a response very soon after your status hits “carefully considered”. Snail mail acceptance 12/10 (letter dated 12/6) and online updated 12/11.

Oh what a happy day…Good luck to everyone still waiting…

college4days…Congrats to your D!! The waiting is the hardest part. Hmmmm…that would make a catchy song lyric. Somebody creative should write one.
