your chances, no mine.

so I go to TAMS (Texas Academy of Math and Science)
I live on campus at University of North Texas
and I take college courses, and yeah i think its a pretty good opportunity
as ill be able to take organic chemistry before i go to "real" college
im an asian male

SAT:
M 760
V 720
W 690

SATII havent taken them yet
I expect about 780-800 on math IIC
and idk 750+ on chem and bio

GPA: 3.9167 out of 4.00
Rank: No rank.

Recs:
I go to Texas Academy of Math and Science
and apparently our dean and biology professor writes amazing recs if we are hardworking or osmething
and my former math professor would write an amazing recommendation from what he has implied.

I made all A's freshman and sophomore years and was ranked 2 or 3 before i came to TAMS at my old high school.

Jr Year Courses: These are all college courses during my Junior Year (technically)
First Semester
Honors Bio A

NHS

Honors:
Latin Student of the Year
President's List (Junior Year, 1st Sem)
Dean's List (Junior Year, 2nd Sem)

I am taking Organic Chemistry in the fall and Physics:Mechanics
At TAMS, people do bad on physics but I think i will manage an A because im ready to really bust my ass out there
and o chem was "not recommended" by my counselors
but i am taking it like an academic bad boy or something idk

I love tennis. I know almost everythign there is to know about it. Although I might be short on the history of the game, I know how to string racquets and im familiar with strategies, players, idk man you name it

and im interested in psychology and i am doign undergraduate research right now on neuroscience and its getting pretty interesting now.

and i guess for personal qualities i consider myself a hilarious person.
if that counts

and i will be a senior mentor next semester which means i will be living with the juniors' floor helping them out. its a form of community service. only 10 people out of 50 that applied get it and i guess its a good thing since there are more cons than pros.

Your stats sound fine, but remember that Chicago requires a two recommendations: one from the sciences and one from the humanities.

Just write a good essay and you should be alright.

Well, good luck with organic next year. You might want to apply EA to Chicago if you are not doing ED elsewhere - you can't always count on A's in physics and o-chem. Remember that the college application process takes about as much time as an extra class - if you are visiting, taking standardized tests, and completing the applications themselves. Any applications that you can complete (or at least start) before school begins this fall will be to your benefit.

Wow, you are in TAMS. I don't really know about CAMS when I was in 8th and looked for high school. I first know about it when I am in 10th and I regret it so much. T_T. Right now, I'm in HMSA.

Hey, I go to IMSA (rising senior looking at UC too). Your stats are great... especially from TAMS (IMSA slammed by GPA by 1/2 a letter grade (well, to an A-)). Your ECs are great too... but UChicago's all about the essay, you'll do great if you write a good essay.

I have my own independent neuroscience research project. I'm going into cognitive neuroscience. The field rocks! Good luck... you should do very well.
