"Your choice of major has no bearing on your admittance to any UC"

Is there really truth to this. I am sure that the freshman applying for majors like "Religous Studies" or "African American Studies" have it easier then Biology, Psychology, and Political Science Majors.

I am talking of course in the context of the college of letter and science at UCLA and UC Berkeley assuming that the student has high gpa, test scores, and leadership potential.

Does anyone have an opinion on this?

try a non-impacted major

would that include womens studies or native american studies?
