Post the list of colleges your considering applying to, and the major you intend.
Like so:

Cal tech
MIT
Carnegie Mellon
Georgia tech
Nyu
University of Illinois--Urbana-Champaign
Cornell

Computer science or engineering

My list is in no specific order, but you can put yours in order in any way you like.

Rising senior here.

Duke
Dartmouth
HYPSM
UPenn - Wharton
Williams
Amherst
Carnegie Mellon
Lehigh
Rice
Emory
Vanderbilt

and a few other safeties/matches.

I’m most likely going to major in economics.

University of South Florida
Ohio State University
Indiana University
Ball State
Good luck to everyone ! :)

Sent from my LG-P509 using CC App

Oh and my major would be business management or administration

Sent from my LG-P509 using CC App

University of Florida
Georgetown
U Miami
Yale
Stanford
Vanderbilt
Duke
Dartmouth
Columbia
U VA
U Alabama
FSU
USF

Neuroscience

My “out there” choices: UC Berkeley, Rice (in state)

“Safe” choices… well choice: University of Texas at Austin (in state)

Rising sophomore, most likely some sort of business or science major.

Yale
JHU
UW
UCLA-B
OU
UBC
UPenn
Harvard (for lolz)

Biochem/Chemistry/Biology

You guys have some big lists, what makes you want such a big list?

^My rationale is just that you’ll never know what’s going to happen. Even if you think a certain college is a safety, you might still get rejected.

Kinda depressing actually :(

But I don’t see how all those schools have a good school for that one major

When financial aid is a big necessity, more schools = more opportunities. You never know what kind of offers you’re going to get without applying and finding out.

Everybody has a few safeties, some matches, and then some reaches. It can add up to a lot depending on what you want.

^^Oh… I gotcha.

I checked all of mine, and they’re all pretty good :D

Except OU…

UChicago
WashU
UofI Urbana Champaign
Northwestern
UIC
That’s about it really…

Majoring in international relations/affairs, history, psychology, or something else social sciencey. Economics perhaps. I’ll decide later.

UPenn
Harvard
Duke
Yale
John Hopkins
University of Notre Dame
Emory
UFlorida
UMiami

Parents won’t let me go to the west coast -____-.

Haven’t checked all the universities (only rising sophomore), but something med related.

I’m only a rising 10th grader, so I haven’t done too much college research yet, but these are the schools that I’m considering.

George Washington University (dream school)
SUNY Stony Brook
Allegheny College
McDaniel College
Susquehanna University
Quinnipiac University
Juniata College
Hartwick College
Lycoming College
Slippery Rock University
University of Maine

Major: Biology

University of Alabama
Auburn University
Louisiana State University
Florida State University
University of Central Florida
University of South Florida
University of Tennessee
University of Oregon
University of Oklahoma

I will most likely end up at The University of Alabama. Roll Tide!

Major: International Relations

(In order)
UT Austin
UPenn (lol I have like zero chance but I’m applying anyway)
Boston University
SMU
Sarah Lawrence
University of Virginia
Fordham
CU Boulder
Baylor
UT Arlington

Brown and Yale are my top choices (even though they’re unrealistic).
I’ll probably apply to Columbia because I think being in NYC would be cool and I actually think their core sounds fascinating.
Otherwise:
Vassar.
Swarthmore.
Wesleyan.
University of Washington.
I might also apply to Dartmouth, UChicago, Amherst, Northwestern, Johns Hopkins. I’m only a rising sophomore, so everything on my list besides Brown, Yale, and Columbia is pretty up in the air. I’m thinking I want to double concentrate/major in Econ/Philosophy, English and IR, English and Econ, Biology and Philosophy/English, History/Econ, History/Philosophy. I think I want to pursue business school, maybe law school, or med school. I want to become a journalist (overseas correspondent), go into medical research, or perhaps pursue a business career.

I’m a rising freshman and I won’t know for sure until Senior year but yeahh here is my list.
Major in Computer Science
MIT
Carnegie Mellon
University of Washington
UC Berkeley
Stanford
Northwestern
NYU
Cornell
California Institute of Technology
UCLA
The only safety I have is U Washington but I am only a 9 grader and my list will probably change.
