What's on your desktop? Wallpaper? Icons? How do you arrange them?

My wallpaper's a photo of tollbooths on the New Jersey Turnpike on a really rainy day.

I arrange all my stuff so I have miscellaneous .txt, .mp3 and .jpg files on the left, with my Recycle Bin in the extreme lower left. All my random musical ideas (lyric fragments, ideas for melodies, demos, whatever) are in the bottom middle in a 4x3 rectangle. My program shortcuts are in a 5x4 rectangle in the bottom right. I have SkiFree and my GameBoy emulator in the top right, and exam and revision schedules sort of in the middle so I can't ignore them.

tl;dr: My icons are arranged kind of weirdly. How about yours?

I’ve got a rather boring desktop. Black/grey pattern wallpaper. Usual 4 icons + A pdf - AFIs Top 100 movies, standard arrangement. I like having an uncluttered desktop.

I used to only have my little rectangle of necessary shortcuts at the bottom right, but then I built up all these files that I didn’t know what to do with…

This is my desktop.
The guy is Matt Bellamy.
I hate having a ton of icons on my desktop. I had about 4 or 5 columns before I got ObjectDock.

^^Whenever that happens, I just toss them into My Documents. It’s a complete mess, but I never go there so it’s OK.

Nothing except an shortcut leading to a folder with more properly ordered shortcuts. And recycle bin.

wallpaper is purely black…

I have a ton more personal folders on my desktop and I love saving pictures I come across on the internet… so it’s usually pretty full unless I transfer my photos to one of my various folders.

Everything on my desktop is arranged kind of messily because I usually label everything “123432” or “4574543d”, so I can never find anything again. :P

Here’s a snippet of my desktop background: http://i43.■■■■■■■.com/1zwi51h.jpg
the wallpaper reminds me of “Where The Wild Things Are” for some odd reason… :)

My desk top arrangement is pretty random. ON my home computer I have a picture of the earth from the moon and my laptop has a picture of me with my two cousins <3

My wallpaper changes on a bimonthly basis. Right now it’s an artist’s rendering of a full earth as seen from the moon, complete with lunar landscape, stars, and a tiny American flag way in the background.

No icons (besides the recycle bin), no extra stuff at all. The clutter bothers me lol, and it slows down startup time. Besides, they block the wallpaper.

I usually make my own wallpapers. I get bored, and Photoshop is a really good creative outlet for me. Currently it’s one of Julian Casablancas.

Default Mac one, it’s some bamboo.

I hate icons, even though my computer is fast and Mac-ish. It’s so fugly. D:<
