People are always asking is this too much to little? While i have free time? Are my classes fun easy or hard ect. So if you could create any schedule what would it be? Only rule is it has to be possible and practical. IE: Only 1 class a week or something along those lines. Just curious to hear what you guys would do.

I don’t ask for much so mine will be happening next semester a three day weekend. I get Fridays off. Ideally I suppose I’d like all my classes to be held between 11:30am-4pm.

No classes before like 11 am or something…but I don’t think that will ever happen. I was able to keep next semester’s schedule with nothing earlier than 9, so that’s better than having an 8 am class like this semester.

You’d be surprised how having late classes isn’t as easy as you’d expect. My earliest lecture was 11AM this semester and I still missed it a few times. You get into this horrible logical fallacy of “well I can party tonight because I don’t have class till 11!” but then you wake up at 10:30 feeling horrible and end up sleeping through it anyway.

I liked my Fall '10 schedule. Earliest class was 9:30AM, latest class let me out at 5PM on Monday.

Well true, and then I’d end up being up so late over at the music building practicing and having to walk back late, which isn’t safe at like 1 am and then do homework…so yeah, there’s that downside to starting classes too late. I can deal with 9 am I guess…

I always made it to my 8 am class this semester every time, but it was just very painful to get up and go to class at that time. Towards the end, I was counting down how many more times I had to get up at 6:30 am for 8 am class. This semester, earliest class is 9 on MWF and 9:25 TR and end classes at 9 pm Monday, 5:35 Tuesday, ?time W,R,F so far depends on some stuff yet, right now done at 7:30 pm R but that could change to be later on TR class days still.

Classes in the morning 9 o’clock are very useful, because we feel more energetic and fresh in the morning. But classes after lunch are pretty boring.

My ideal schedule would be 4-5 History & theology classes, all on various aspects of the Italian Renaissance.

They would be afternoon/late at night too, because that’s when I focus best (it helps that I only party on weekends, and even then, rarely).

Wow your Mondays are gonna be long, hopefully you don’t have class for that entire 12 hour period.

Uhhh, not so true…I am usually tired and half asleep in my first class (especially if it’s at 8 am), and am usually more awake late at night, like I’ll have been up since 6 something am and be tired at times in the morning, and then it will be 1 or 2 am and I’ll be very awake then.

I had the same times Monday this semester…8 classes/lessons, etc. on and off times with some short breaks in between. This semester on Mondays, I had classes/lessons from 9-11:30(but that will be til 12 in spring), 1-1:30ish, 3-4, 6-7, 8-9pm

My perfect schedule was in my first semester.

Monday, 11-1
Weds, 10-12, 2-4.

Four day weekend. No consecutive days of classes.

^That’s not very many class hours a week! How is that even possible?

^
Studying Literature. In England. (England has way less class hours anyway)

My uni only does 3 classes a semester.

Althooough, last semester I did spend 4 hours a day reading.

Ok, didn’t know that, sorry!^

^ Haha no problem. If you can write, Literature’s very hard to be amazing at, but easy to do “quite well” at.

All morning classes. No Friday classes. A couple of French classes, a couple of Theatre classes, and a general ed class for fun.

Classes end at noon, start at 8 or 9. I can barely pay attention in 4 - 5 PMs…

I pretty much have my dream schedule for spring semester. 9am three days, 10am, and 11am class for the other two days. I’m taking bio and chem (major requirements), philosophy and poetry (GEs), and a creativity workshop! Really really excited. What would make it even better would be no class on Friday. I have two hours of class on Friday and 2.5 on Thursday.

all morning classes, no classes monday or friday

Spring of 2010 I had the best schedule (at least to me) - No classes Monday or Friday so a 4 day weekend every weekend - and my schedule was as follows

Tuesday/Thursday:
11-12:15 | Class one
12:30-1:45 | Class two
2-3:15 | Class Three

Wednesday:
2-4:30 | Class Four

And then Class five 5:30-9:30 on Tuesdays first 8 weeks, Class Six 5:30-9:30 tuesdays second 8 weeks.

That was once nice semester, even with 18 credits.
