hi. have you guys decided on your first-choice college where you’ll be applying under the early decision? i’d suggest ya’ll not to be stealthy about your ED college as more than one applicant from a country or school to the same college may reduce both the students’ chances of getting in. i’m not sure about mine yet but i’ve been considering Carleton for ED.
I’ve been considering Dartmouth for ED, but I guess it’d be quite a stretch for my credentials. Hopefully, I’ll have a great essay up by the deadline.
I guess I’ll be applying to Knox College.
Williams College (to get a rejection letter from my dream school).
hey @Wormrot! check your inbox
oh jeez carleton doesn’t really offer aid in the ED pool for internationals. ugh lol so i guess i’ll have to change my ED college
Macalester College!!
I think I will apply to lafayette college.
I’m doing CMC ED just to get rejected on 15th December lol haha…
CMC is Carnegie Mellon? If it is, I think it does not provide aid to internationals.
@Shulav - CMC —> Claremont McKenna College.
@Wormrot Thanks @annies2091 Ignore my comment
I don’t think Claremont McKenna provides substantial amount of financial aid though.
i don’t think that is correct…CMC is one of the few colleges that are 100% need-blind.
Ifyou can get in they say don’t worry about the finances.
@stagalum - Well…
@stagalum @Wormrot CMC gave away $329,115 in financial aid to internationals last year. It was provided to 15 internationals. The average award was $21,941. I guess that is not “substancial” aid.
@stagalum don’t think Claremont McKenna is need blind for intls.
CMC is not need blind for international students
@Shulav, that data is for internationals who enrolled. Remember that there might be internationals who were offered a ton, perhaps even full, aid but who might’ve gotten into better colleges, thus enrolling elsewhere.
