Your Estimated SAT Score for March 2011

Math: 0-1
Reading: 5-8
Writing: 0-3 (Essay 10)

Where does this put me?

@Batfan

A -2 on math would probably be like a 740 and the other ones would f course be 800s.

Got a 2250 last time so I’m hoping for better but…

Best Case - 2350
Writing -0-1, essay 11 or 12 (800)
Math -1… UGH (770)
Reading -2 (780)

Worst Case - 2170
Writing -3 Essay 9 or 10 (730)
Math -3 (720)
Reading - 5 (720)

I felt like math was pretty easy and that I should have gotten an 800. I just mucked up that stupid triangle problem by reading the angles incorrectly. Reading was the easiest by far, I think I got all the sentence completion and so far I’ve only been able to find two questions that I’ve for sure missed in passages. Writing is usually my best section and I’ve had 800s on it the two times I’ve taken the SAT, but I’m a little concerned about a few of the debatable answers. Oh well, only time will tell.

Math (-2 write-ins -___-) 760
Writing (9-11 -4-5) 720
CR (-3, 1 omit) 720

2200 GOOD ENOUGH

i took the sat for the first time…i heard the curve is crazy so im scared

Math: -2 (one grid-in) grr
Writing (-2 or -3) 10-11 essay
CR: -9 at most?

would that get me over 2100??

@lightlink206:

I’m not an expert at the curves, but it looks like you could get

680 CR, 750 M, 760 W - 2190 T

Don’t quote me, though. If anyone else could verify, that’d help.

For myself, I’ve revised my estimate to

Math: -8
Writing: -1, 8 essay
CR: -2

So that might put me at 780 CR, 690 M, 730 W - 2200 T

Could anyone else verify? (Though, just for safety and to keep my hopes realistic and low, I’ve set my score range at 1870-2270, b/c it might happen)

Someone guess for me:

Math: -2
Writing: -2 11 essay or -1 10 essay
CR: -2

for tjkings82,

Math - 730-760 depending on curve
Writing- 750-770
CR- 780-800

seems like a solid 2300 more or less, not so sure though.

someone do mine?
Math: 0-1 wrong ( checked my answers on compilation but I usually make a careless mistake.)
writing: 2 omits, 2-4wrong, 8-10 on essay ( filled up 2 pages, good diction )
CR: 6 omits, ( yeah i know, i omitted like crazy.), around 5-6 wrong. ( went 19/19 on vocab! :D)

hoping to get a 1450 composite :(

Don’t mean to be a leecher, but i haven’t taken the SAT before so I’m not good with the curves and stuff. Could someone score me please?

Math: -2 MC
Critical Reading: -3/-4
Writing: 9-11 essay, -1

Thanks!

predict my scores please!

math: 1 grid in missed, 1 omit

W: -1; 11-12 essay

@supers123

Ahaha can someone please score mine? Didn’t get scored yet :stuck_out_tongue:
Math: Omit 1
Writing: 8-10 essay, - 4/5
CR: - 5/6

I took the SAT last year and had two 800s and a 770. If you’re interested in any tips, and not just bragging in advance, then I’d be happy to help you out.

what would math 1 omitted, one grid in wrong, and 4 mc wrong be?

@heyitzaustin assuming you gave me wrong answers, not raw score,
780Math
660-710 Writing
700-730 CR

@crosscountry12
670

Could someone estimate for me? I was post 76.

Does one wrong on the math have a chance of 800 or is that only if you get 0 wrong and omit 1 or something? Just curious…

@bookannelida

1 wrong and 1 omit result in the same score. You lose a quarter of a point for each question you answer correctly and neither gain nor lose points for a question you omit.

For example:

1 omit = 53/54 raw score
1 wrong = 52.75/54 raw score

  • .5 and above round up, so therefore
    1 wrong = 53/54 raw score

And just as a heads up, neither have much of a chance at being 800

One wrong will probably be 780. No chance of 800.

@badatthesat
Math: 730-750
CR: 720-760
W: 670-800

Expect you score to be just over 2200

thanks! suddenly all that stuff about guessing instead of leaving it blank is starting to make sense… woah…

If I dont get a 1600, I will probably cry
