^ lol, did you mean qu’est-ce que c’est? :p

Yeah I revived the thread typeakid! I love threads like these :D

I’ve had guys - okay well I’ve had a bit of a summer of romance where 2 guys declared their love for me, and they both wanted to date me but I don’t just want to date someone knowing it won’t go anywhere so even though I really liked them both and they’re great guys, I kind of want to keep my first proper relationship as my last proper one too. Sad, because I hated having to do that :(

^ They’re just being stupid and it’s nice that you have the choice to make your first one really special whereas I’m sure a lot of your friends didn’t like their first kiss.

Met this amazing girl the summer before sophomore year. Unfortunately, she lived 500 miles away in NYC and I really missed her when she had to go back. We kept in touch all through the school year and eventually decided to start an long distance relationship spring of sophomore year. My parents weren’t a big fan of the long distance thing, but I eventually saved up enough money from working to visit her in NYC the summer before junior year. We had a blast and she was pretty much my first everything. I remember our first kiss was at the pizza place where we met (btw, NYC pizza makes me jealous of anyone who lives there). It wasn’t awkward, but that’s probably because I had the luxury of knowing that she was into me beforehand. We had a really messy breakup after 2 years of being together (the distance was a big part of it) and hated each other for a few months. But we got over the drama and she is still one of my best friends. We are actually planning on doing a coast-to-coast thing next summer (I’m a senior) and living on the road for a few weeks because we are both pretty adventurous/outdoorsy. Who knows, maybe I might try to start something up again, but I’m just happy with where we are now.

Sorry for the long story but I just wanted to say that not all breakups have to end terribly. And don’t worry if you haven’t had your first kiss yet. That just means it’s going to be more special to whoever you save it for.

EDIT: Forgot to say that I was 16 at the time.

Mine was when I was my current age (14) last Summer. It was at the middle school graduation party that my friend hosted. It was with a sophomore (now junior) girl from the high school who was there. I don’t have any basis of comparison, since I haven’t kissed anyone on the lips since, but I’d say it was pretty good.

Well guys, about a year later and I’m still pretty happy about all the positive feedback this thread has gotten. Thank you for sharing your stories with us.

Haha, my first kiss was in 8th grade with my girlfriend at the time, except I don’t even consider that to be a relationship now. Don’t know what it was - some weird friendship I guess.

My first kiss in a real relationship was much more memorable, but months later she ended up breaking my heart, so I don’t wanna talk about it, even though I am right now ):

8th grade, my then girlfriend who happen to leave on the same street. (Very convenient, I know). She leaned over while we were watching a Wes Craven horror movie, and we kissed while everyone else was screaming at a gory scene. :)

@taenykiss - Hope things are looking up for you, since that last post.
Sounded rather sad then…like what I used to be for the longest time. Long story.
