Your Friends' Early Decision Results (non-Yale)

My very good friend was just deferred from Princeton, her dream school...I am seriously depressed because of this....it's as if I've been rejected.....

Stanford:
3 accepted, 2 deferred, 1 rejected

Princeton:
2 accepted

Columbia:
1 accepted

Georgetown:
1 accepted

They're setting a pretty imposing standard! AAHHHH so nervous!!

I had:

Stanford: 3 accepted
Princeton: 1 accepted, 1 defferred
Middlebury: 2 accepted

Update:
Columbia: 1 accepted, 1 rejected
U Penn: 1 accepted, 1 deferred
Princeton: 1 accepted
Stanford: 1 accepted, 2 deferred, 2 rejected
Northwestern: 1 rejected
Brown: 2 deferred

what exactly is the point of this thread... nobody reads it... Not to be a jackass... but not many people care...

That's not true. OVer 2000 ppl have read this thread, ,that's hardly nobody

Stanford: Rejected
Columbia: Rejected
Georgetown: Deferred
Dartmouth: Accepted
Cornell: Accepted

Hey... I read it... and I am just visiting (or is that now... switching over from) the Princeton board...

This is a pretty interesting little conversation.

My school only has 28 Seniors.
Harvard - 1, she finds out in about an hour, I think
Penn - 1 rejected (big fight with admission cause she is an international who is applying for financial aid... arg! Nor Fair!)
Princeton - 1 deferred (me... :()
Stanford - 1 deferred (with legacy and the best gpa, even though our school doesn't rank, I still know that)

Then these four of us are applying to other Ivy's in the Regular Decision round. Hopefully that goes better for us.

Hmm... this is the most ivy league applicants we have had in a long time!
4/28 ain't too shabby, i guess.

yeah... there's no such thing as a shoo-in at any of these colleges. You could have perfect scores, perfect GPA, national merit scholar, blah blah blah, but there are still tons of other kids like you in the applicant pool. Many schools have rejected kids like that because they dont need any more of those kinds of kids.

My friend just got into Stanford!!! I'm so happy for her!

I also had one rejected from Wharton. :( I haven't seen her since it's exam week, and I'm afraid to call to see how she's holding up.

Two acceptances to Rice, one still waiting (her mail service is slow).

I'm so sad, one of my friends got rejected from Stanford, and another one got deferred from Brown. And I'm going to join them in a few days. :(

My school:
Columbia:
3 accepted
2 deferred
1 rejected

Princeton:
6 accepted [3 recruits...soccer, diving, track...one of the other three is me!]
2 deferred [both crew recruits]

Harvard:
1 accepted (so far)

Brown:
2 deferred [very odd]

Penn:
5 accepted (1 Wharton)
2 deferred

Cornell:
3 accepted

Stanford:
1 accepted
3 rejected

Am wondering what is going on with Brown and Stanford...

Wow! Quite a school you have there!

haha, its crazy. and kind of scary to go to...

GOOD LUCK WITH YALE to ALL WHO HAVE APPLIED

I go to a private school with a class of 36 students:

Penn: 1 deferral
Brown: 1 deferral
Harvard: 2 deferrals
MIT: 1 deferral
Stanford: 1 rejection, 1 deferral
Yale: (Thats me) most likely a rejection

We're not doing too well so far......too bad my college counselor is a dumbass who couldn't pass 4th grade engligh is his life depended on it

georgetown: 1 deferral, haven't heard from the other
harvard: good news and bad news. and I'll leave it at that

Brown: 1 deferral...

MIT: 2 deferral 1 accept
Penn: 1 deferral

Stanford: 1 deferral (me)

I'm the only person at my school to apply to anything above Berkeley. (I live in CA). Two others applied to Berkeley, all the rest (as in 10 others) applied to state schools and UCSB. No one has applied to HYPSMC for the last five years. I'm the first... sad i know.

Our class valedictorian was deferred for UPenn. Saxfreq1128 got accepted to Harvard. Me next. ((gulp))
