Mom2M, Are all the Great Indoors closing? I loved that store, but WAY over-priced IMHO.

I donât know how many are closing. I agree that the original prices were crazy, but I love the âstore closingâ prices. In addition to the light fixture we bought a banner standâŠa telescoping pole with clips on the end for flags/banners. D will use it for Girl Scouts, I will use it for Girl Scouts (Iâm the SU Cookie Mgr, along with some other jobs), and I imagine Iâll use it at home as well. They were considered store fixtures, but were only $15.

I found a new summer-weight purse at Marshallâs today! LeSportSac, in exactly the style/size I was looking for (light, washable) for only $15! Normally online they are $49 to $99. The store only had one left and itâs MINE, all mine! :)

Do I need to get a life if the first thing I thought of was sharing my find in this forum? :D

GREAT buy!!! ^^^^ Of course we should be the first people you should report back too! :)

That assumes the Bethesda Marriott has power!

I think I have stayed there. If its the one I am thinking, its very nice. And thats a great price. (Ooh, a rhyme)

Have been looking and looking for a new chandelier for our remodeled dining room. Found a beauty but it was too $$$. My DH sort of bonded with the owner/manager of the lighting store and the gentleman called last week to tell us the chandelier we want is at half-price. He even came to our house and installed it for us. Itâs so pretty but it makes the dining table look pretty bad . . .

Wow! How elegant! So now youâll be shopping for a âgood buyâ on a dining room table??? :)

Wow, Sewhappy! That chandelier is simply stunning.

Yes, looking for a discount dining table for the chandelier. Just like us to do everything backwards. Oh well. We just keep turning on the chandelier and gaping at it.

Wow, that chandelier is wonderful. Iâd turn it on and look, too!

Sewhappy, I can just imagine whatnyour dining room looks like with that beautiful lighting!

Basket - thanks for the tip/link. I picked up a watch for DH for $39. Heâs so rough on his watches!

Sewhappy, your patience paid off. Beautiful fixture! The only problem with these dangly chandeliers is cleaning. We have one Schonbeck fixture kind of like yours, just a bit bigger, high above the staircase in our house, and it is a major project to get it dusted and cleaned.

Maybe a beautiful dining table will go on sale somewhere sometimes soon⊠If not, furniture stores always run great sales in January.

One other issue with chandeliers is you have to have a high enough ceiling. Our house really isnât suited for a chandelier, tho the prior/original owner had one over the dining table. It was OK, except when we moved the table & folks would bonk their head on it. We have since replaced it with a more practical lighting fixture that matches the rest of the practical house better. ![]()
My cousin has a gorgeous one over her grand piano. Hubbyâs buddies also have a nice one over their dining room table. I read that you can put a large plastic bag under it & squirt it to clean it but the buddies clean & dust every piece once/year. They say it is a lot of work!

âmy daughter in grad school. She rented textbooks last year and appreciates a good deal.â

-My D. has been buying them and selling back when she is done on half.com. It might be cheaper than rent. Dâs science books are expansive, way too much to buy new. She continued doing the same at Med. School. She likes to keep some books also.

MiamiDAP, Does your D have to collect sales tax? The thought of dealing with that puts me off.
