Did not buy the socks on-line but they say that it is sold at CVS for about the same price, sometimes less when they have a sale. You are supposed to get it VERY SNUG, so you have to really struggle to get the pair ON. For example, I am a size 9 shoe but he had me buy a SMALL because I have small ankles and heels.

Starting on Thanksgiving Day and through the weekend Walgreens will have a deal for a free $10 Walgreens gift card when you purchase an iTunes 3 pack of $10 cards.

If you are not interested in that deal, Rite Aid has a deal right now that you can purchase a $25 iTunes card for $20 with the coupon on page 10 of their flyer this week. This is the same priced deal Target will be having on Black Friday.

I purchased the Rite Aid deal and will also purchase the Walgreens deal as the $10 GC from Walgreens will be a good stocking stuffer for oldest DD.

Thanks momofstars - that one will go on my calendar!

Horchow is offering 30% off their entire site (2 day sale). I ordered a few of these towels:

[Lauren by Ralph Lauren - âGreenwichâ Towels - Horchow](http://www.horchow.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?itemId=cprod82330002&eItemId=cprod82330002&cmCat=search&searchType=MAIN&parentId=&icid=&rte=%252Fsearch.jhtml%253FN%253D0%2526Ntt%253Dralph%252Blauren%252Btowels%2526_requestid%253D3850)

Use the code âFRIENDSâ to take off an additional 30% of the reduced price and monogram is free. I did need to pay $10 for shipping/handling (no code worked for this). For some items I think with a $100 order, you can get free shipping (not sure if a code works with the 30% code).

Also, for those needing graduation gifts, these might be something to consider. You donât have to monogram all of them, if you donât know who you might give them to as a gift.

Hi Northeastmom!

Iâm in the market for a new blender! Would you mind sharing what type did you buy? Where and for how much? I think this blender must be at least 15 years old or so and it shows. The whirring sound it makes is tired. Thanks :)

Hi Chochipcookie!

I spent about half an hour reading reviews. Frankly, other than the $450 blenders, most had mixed reviews and many were really negative. I do not have a spare $450 to pay for a blender! I think that I found the next best thing. I spent $80 (about $20 more than I wanted to pay). I used a BB&B coupon to get it down to that price and I picked it up on my local store:

[Ninja™; NJ600 Professional Blender - Bed Bath & Beyond](http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=17609181)

I did read that it does not do a good job tearing apart spinach for a morning green drink. I aspire to make those, but have not followed through, so I settled on this one. When I turned it on and threw in some ice cubes, I was amazed! I dumped out the ice and put in a carrot. My old blender never chopped a carrot into tiny pieces like this!

Editing: I did see something to click on after viewing this blender (I think it was You Tube) to get $30 off the Amazon price. I did not trust clicking it, so I just paid $10 more and bought from BB&B.

chocchip, I can give a big thumbs up for the Ninja. Theyâre top rated in Consumer Reports, and itâs really easy to use and clean.

The most negative things that I immediately noticed is that one has to line up the arrows to get the top locked so it works. It is not hard, but it takes getting used to (it actually takes 2 secs longer than my old blender that did not have this safety feature). I am glad that it has this safety feature since it has 6 blades and can dice things into the smallest pieces in a few secs.! Also, I need to pull it out from under the cabinet to get the top off since the container is so tall, however, I really see the height of this blender as a good thing. It can store on my countertop underneath my cabinet easily when it is not in use.

Thanks for the Horchow sale tip, norheastmom! I really need new drapes for the family room, and Iâve been having a hard time finding some that are long enough for our high ceilings and are not made in China. My problem is most likely solved. :)

^^Glad their sale worked out well for you!

I hope this is a good buy for some HI and NY residents:

wow BB that sounds like a great deal on flights to HI!

Northeastmom & Slitheytove:

Thank you for your tips re: a new blender. I have seen commercials on TV recently for it and thought it was the stupidest name ever!

Anyway, I saw your post and then had to rush out to do a bunch of errands. One of my stops was Kohlâs to exchange a belt for my younger son. I realized today is the last day of my 30% off coupon, so I went over to the appliance section to see if they have this Ninja blender. They did.

Soooo, I got the blender. It cost $100, then the 30% off coupon brought it down to $70, then I had ten dollars of Kohlâs cash, so the blender cost me $60 plus tax! Not bad, huh?
Iâve been wanting a new blender for at least a year now and I keep forgetting to look in the stores when Iâm out buying other things. Iâll go by your recommendations & use this one! Thanks for doing the âresearchâ for me too!
:)

Bunsen: I hope that you will post a review of your experiences buying things not made in China. I am curious about how hard/frustrating that has been.

Choc: Do you happen to know what the blender costs at places other than Kohls (Amazon, say)? I opened a Kohls charge account last year to get those discountsâD usually finds things she likes there, and after the discounts the prices are not bad, but I have wondered how much Kohls marks up the regular prices in order to be able to offer those 30 percent discounts . . .

Hi Amesie:

Look at post #3106 or ask northeastmom, above. I just went based on her recommendation and picked it up quickly today without researching prices elsewhere. Looks like itâs the same price at BB & B where northeastmom purchased hers. Amazon may be a bit less, then you have to factor in shippingâŚ

Yeah, all these stores charge lots for these items and then have a sale, so it âlooksâ like youâre getting a good dealâŚbelieve me, the store is NOT losing any money, even on sale items!

I donât like shopping at Kohlâs for myself for clothing, but there are a few clothing items that my boys will wear and sometimes Iâll get a good deal on some kitchen ware or shoesâŚbut itâs not worth buying unless you have coupons!
At least they con you into thinking youâre getting a good deal! ;)

choc, you did better than I did at Kohls. I try to avoid them, although I like their store, just because I donât want to a store card for their deals (silly, I know).

Amesie, $60 is a very good deal for it. I paid $80 after coupon at BB&B. On Amazon it looks like it costs $100, although I saw something to click after a You Tube demo, but I was afraid to click it for fear of a virus. They claim that you could click this link and get it for $30 off the $100 price.

What I liked at BBB was that they told me that I could return it, and there is no time limit to return it. They told me to just keep my receipt to make it easier. I liked that because I read about so many blenders breaking/leaking after just 2-3 months!

^I bought these same socks at TJMaxx today for $7.99.

nysmile, thanks for that tip! I might just pick up a few pairs for family.

Youâre welcome. I may stop into TJMaxx tomorrow to get another pack (2 pairs/pack).
