^^That’s hilarious NYSmile…!

How did you get a Gore Tex rain jacket for 9.99??? I want one!

Thumper must live in a great neighborhood, where folks are shedding wonderful clothing and letting Goodwill (GW) offer them up for amazingly low prices. Our GW doesn’t have anything similar in selection. The private school’s thrift shop used to have nice items, but the shop has moved & I don’t know their new location. :(

ah, very nice find, Thumper! I did get a nice top at GW recently, but nothing as amazing as a $10 goretex jacket!

Our GW draws “donors” from a rather wealthy area in part. My jacket is an older one as can be evidenced by the label…but it has hardly been worn as can be evidenced by the lack of wear anywhere on it…and it’s spotless (yes it will get a trip in the dryer).

I also got some Ralph Lauren cords, and two pairs of Talbots slacks…oh and a Max studio pair of really nice grey/black slacks. SOMEONE was donating my size!!

And they had Champion workout shirts for $1.99 from Target…brand new.

I ordered these - they arrived today! I just tried one of the caramel pecan ones and it was fabulous. I can’t wait to try the peanut butter brownie :D

Congrats on a great find thumper. Gotta love GW. My latest Goodwill trip yielded (for me)… a nice Fen Wright Mason 100% merino wool sweater in a pretty eggplant color, a Columbia sweater, a couple of Old Navy long sleeve knit tees for layering and a book. For S2 I got a brand new looking J Crew sweatshirt . Total cost $16.

My Sierra Trading Post box came yesterday. I got $150 Patagonia Gore-Tex trail shoes for $66 and some great Ahnu shoes (reg. $99) for $44. Also some Goodhew merino wool socks for $6.95.

So I forgot that Thanksgiving was THIS week…for some reason I thought it was the week after. Must have been in a fugue state…Go figure. Went to the commissary hoping to beat the rush…almost succeeeded…but scored a $7 off coupon on a hormel spiral sliced honey ham. Got 7.5 lb hamm for $10. yay. :)

In this case- procrastination pays…$7

Thanks for introducing me to Dancing Deer. I’ve decided to use them for corporate gifts this year. I don’t send many but I’ve been looking for something different this year so I think I’ll send the brownie samplers.

cartera, Costco online sells Dancing Deer brownie and cookie gift baskets. I sent one to D last summer as a birthday treat, and she was very pleased. I like that Costco includes all shipping and handling charges in the prices listed on their site.

I’m shopping for rental cars and finding that Costco Travel has some excellent deals.

I’m finding that in this economy fewer nice things are making it to GW.

I didn’t grab any bargains, but my local Old Navy had a sign on their door “All adult clothing 75% off 12-5” The lines were very long and nothing was worth waiting for an hour, but a great sale if you love their clothes. I don’t know if this was just their store or all of them.

I am just going to have to become a Costco member. The Costco is not particularly convenient to me so I have not joined but this thread is convincing me otherwise.

I realize that the Dancing Deer products are online.

My daughter sent me a link to a nice trench coat at J Crew, was 178 (ridiculous)now 69.00, free shipping and 30% off more with code. Not bad.

^I bought this in TJMaxx today for $29.99

I also bought a beautiful red/gold Murano glass dish for $7.99 (made in Italy).

A huge stalk of brussels sprouts for $2.99 with all the sprouts still attached to the stem. It looked like a baseball bat with 30 tiny baseballs still clinging to mama.

Has anyone received the Jill’s Steals gloves ordered on 11/8?

Bought Little Lee a Lego NXT kit for $170 @ Barnes and Noble with their 40% off coupon. =)

Green tea…did you pay $170? Wow…that’s some pricey Lego set…hope Little Lee loves it.

^I did indeed but the original was $280. It’s a robotics kit and Little Lee is a self proclaimed nerd. I’m hoping that he will join the robotics team later on but for now I’ll let him just play
