My bus of choice to NYC is called Vamoose.

Regarding outlets don’t forget no sales tax on clothes in PA and none in DEL too.

I am not buying, but I just got an email from Coldwater Creek about a 40% off everything sale (I assume an extra 40% off of discounted items, but I am not sure).

So I’m doing a casual survey. Today I got two Kohl’s “pull off for extra % off” flyers (we get two - for some odd reason, several years ago my H applied for his own Kohl’s card). BOTH were 30% extra off! Me thinks that Kohl’s put out a slew of these and is just trying to get us in ONE MORE TIME even if we have most of our holiday shopping done!!

Did you get a Kohl’s flyer and what’s your % off???

(and they are probably right - it will work, and likely, sometime before Dec. 24 I will wander in and scan the aisles and end up buying SOMETHING cause it’s a great deal!!!)

^^I don’t shop there because I feel you need to use a Kohl’s CC to get the greatest discounts and I don’t want to use their store card. I do like the store though. Since I don’t shop there I don’t pay attention to their discounts/promos.

I got the 30% also. Like you, abasket, I usually go in with 30% even if I don’t need anything! I don’t bother with 15% and only go with 20% if I need something specific. Last time I ended up spending just over $50 so got a $10 Kohl’s Gift Cash slip. Then I had to go back and spend it! Someday I think they’ll owe me money at the register!

Not sure if I’ll go this time because the stores will be so busy and I was just there with a 20% (the ones where they send you three cards).

abasket, I only got 20% off at Kohl’s
. No way, will I go in Kohl’s now
. Seriously, I find their stores convenient and all the gimmicks (to get money off) because of my Kohl’s card do get me in the store. But I think that merchandise is sort of “basic” and at Christmas I am looking for more special items usually.

If you pay off your Kohl’s charge (or any other store card) those bargains are great, but as I told a pushy sales person at Kohl’s once, the percentage off wouldn’t matter with over 21% interest I think. I guess I’m more an Internet shopper, when I heard the Kohl’s cash was specific dates in the future, I knew I probably wouldn’t go back then.
Some stores have “cash” that has months to use and I appreciate that. I like Kohl’s but way too many criteria for some discounts for me to shop there often. I’d rather they just charged less.
I also don’t go unless it 30% or more, I think their regular prices are higher than they should be so the sales bring it down to what it should be.
I do find good clearance sales though on occasion.

I don’t care for lots of bills from various stores. I have kept one cc to one department store and I also try to buy at stores that give me just as good of a sale/discount using a major credit card as their store card.

Update: H comes home and finally saw my text; “I’ve always wanted one of those laminating thingies but wouldn’t pay that much for them”…haha…

We got two Kohl’s flyers in the mail – one for 20% off and one for 15% off …hmph.

Went to Costco this afternoon…they still had the trees, but I have to say that they did not look like any Noble Firs I’ve ever seen before. I don’t think I could hang a single ornament on the tree…the branches were dense and everything would have just draped on the outside of the tree. Like this one, but a lot, lot fuller: [Redirect Notice](http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://treesforacause.com/admin/product_images/noble-fir.jpg&imgrefurl=http://treesforacause.com/northoc/purchase.php%3Fid%3D2&h=600&w=400&sz=48&tbnid=N9aTEO4Ez_GEMM:&tbnh=92&tbnw=61&prev=/search%3Fq%3DNoble%2BFir%26tbm%3Disch%26tbo%3Du&zoom=1&q=Noble+Fir&docid=Vqb-hd_-K_RdKM&sa=X&ei=bMjiTumlAciMiAKWzt3EBg&ved=0CIoBEPUBMAU&dur=7364)

H and I went to Costco for the tree, realized we owed it to our backs to shop the local guy who will tie it to the car roof for us (it’s not so hard to get it down). Noticed Costco has expensive fresh trees online.

I by-passed a tremendous “buy of the day” this week. Two men had a rack of gorgeous long women’s wool coats on a city street. $20 apiece, cash, fast transactions only.

I forgot about my Kohl’s percent off tings that were on my kitchen table, but I had a $10 Kohl’s cash thing in my wallet so stopped by on my way from running an errand and got a cellphone mount thing for my car for free. And, they handed me another Kohl’s cash coupon! So I think in the end they paid me to take this cellphone mount thing!

thanks for the tips. I went to the CWC site and the main screen has the 40% 0ff/free shipping info. I ended up buying a gift for my son’s gf, and I liked it so much I bought one in a different color for myself, as well as a bracelet I’s seen before!

This post doesn’t really have anything to do with shopping, but I thought I share anyway.
If you want a laugh, go to ElfYourself by OfficeMax (just google it). You upload a couple of photos and create a funny dancing Christmas video. You can then email the video to friends or upload it onto Facebook. It’s pretty funny.

jym626 and Kohl’s shoppers - I forgot my 20% off “pass” for this weekend, and picked up some things after work last night. Today, I took the receipt back in - and they pass and they gave me the 20% off.

Also got two more passes for different days later in the month, with my Kohl’s cash, some good bargains coming my way.

Thanks for the link nysmile! It’s really cute. I just created a “video” and sent it to my son who’s studying for finals.
