Looking for best deals for day after Christmas - anyone hear of anything yet?

Well, its not quite xmas here yet-- so a little early for after xmas ![]()
But the sales in tomorrows papers should be huge
Happy holidays and happy shopping

I have my shopping bots ready to be deployed, so to speak: the āgood stuffā has been bookmarked, and as soon as the web pages change, I will take a peek. If the discount is not that great, it is a no go for me. Neiman already began their 25% off reduced items online, but the pickings are rather slim. Iām hoping Burberry will have a sale on the 26th, since they did not discount anything before the beginning of the holidays (hoping to grab one of their scarves - the ones on sale at department stores have not been that great).

Keep checking the websites of the stores where you are hoping to get a post Chrstmas deal - sometimes web sales start earlier than sales in the stores.

Iām amazed at the price drops today on some of the stuff that Iāve been looking for (Capilene 3). I use the Google Search price comparison feature and the stuff that I have been looking for for a few weeks is almost half-off with free shipping. Timing is everything.

Hickory Farms, starting the deals off with 50% off [Christmas Gift Baskets | Find Gourmet Holiday Gift Baskets from Hickory Farms](http://www.hickoryfarms.com/) I remember though from last year and the one before, that the percent off goes up and finally shipping is free.

@Macyās: Kenneth Cole Reaction Slim Cut Wrinkle Free Menās Dress Shirt: $11.99!

@GAP: Wrinkle Resistant Tailored Straight Fit Khakiās were 40% off in the store

nysmile, ah, you buy wrinkle free menās shirts like I buy them, and where I buy them. I wait until they are 9.99 to 12.99 at Macys and then I use my 20% off coupon. I have picked up shirts that orig. retailed for $60. I also wait until ties are $10 and then use my 20% coupon (I find harder to get this deal). I also like Burlington Coat Factory for ties at a very good price. Also, this time of year, I have found good deals on dress shirts at TJMaxx, but usually when Macys clears out their dress shirts, you cannot beat it, IMO.

I went to urban outfitters with D2 in Portland ( no sales tax)- was just going to spend time with her- but I saw a bag that was $20, regularly $80 for my laptop, since I absentmindedly forgot I couldnāt check my laptop on the train & had to carry it in a grocery bag on the way down.
It also is really cute IMO so I can use it elsewhere as well.

I did not spend a penny today and Iām very proud of myself :)

FYI - Nordstromās menās sale is on. Lots of great stuff at 40% off, but hubby does not need anything.

I did. Had $20 in kohls cash plus 15% off. Stocked up on texting gloves (or whatever they are called). Also had a coupon for 30% off a sale item at stein mart. Then went to the movies with a friend. The ticket cost about what the top cost from stein mart!

On-line, Hickory Farms says there is a $10 flatrate for shipping, not free.

I am addicted to the outlet site for Zappos, 6pm. Yesterday they sent me an extra 20% off coupon - got $125 pair of Frye sandals for $30, a Cole Haan purse and some leggings for my teens.

Unlike Zappos, you do have to pay for return shipping and they donāt provide bulk rate prepaid labels (the ones that are subtracted from your refund). Returning heavy items like boots and coats can get really expensive.

Check Zappos before you order - some items are on both sites at the same price.

^great tip about checking Zappos.

I almost got into trouble today at our local TJMaxx. I spotted an All-Clad pot without a lid which was identical to the one have. I flipped it over and almost jumped when I saw the price: $29.99. Unbelievable! I was about to take it to the register when my suspicious inner voice said that if something looks too good to be true⦠Upon close inspection of the price sticker, I realized that someone must have peeled the sticker off another item and put it right on the original sticker hoping to come back and get the pot. They did not do too great of a job since I was easily able to remove it. Imagine what would have happened if the cashier discovered the trick?! I bet they have seen it all and heard every single explanation why āit was not ME!ā

So, no money spent today either, but I did patronise a local business to drop off some shoes that needed to be repaired.

Ann Taylor Loft long sleeved cotton ruffled fitted blouseā¦$2.50!

My daughter got a great deal yesterday. We went to a Clarks shoe store and found they were having their semi-annual 40% off sale. She got a pair of boots that were originally $149 for just $79 and then he took off another 20% when I mentioned a tiny scratch on the toe! While standing in line I looked at the zappos site on my phone and found them there for $150. woo hoo!

HImom, Sorry, I didnāt mean to imply that Hickory Farms had the free shipping now. But it will come!

Not necessarily a bargain, a good deal for me. I wanted a pair of Ugg slippers for Christmas and found the style I was looking for, Tasman, in the kidās department at Nordstroms. They only had a size 4, which was a little small, but I thought a 5 or 6 might work. They did not have a 6 in black, so I ordered a 5. I was so disappointed when they arrived and were a tiny bit too small. I searched the web for a size 6 in black to no avail. I was bummed about the black, but ordered a 6 in chestnut. When they arrived, they fit perfectly, but I still really wanted a pair in black. I decided to wear the 5ās around the house to see if they would stretch a bit and to my absolute delight, they felt just fine after a few minutes. Once the lining matted down a bit, they were perfect! So, I was able to save $30 by buying the kids size. Ok, well actually it cost me $30 because I decided to keep both pairs, lol!

If youāre eating out this week, you may be able to save some money by purchasing gift cards and using them on the spot. Many restaurants are still offering āBuy $50, get $10ā type deals. We were able to do this at two of the three restaurants we visited in the last week.

Coldwater Creek is now 70% off of the outlet! [Womenās Apparel & Fashion Accessories | Coldwater Creek](http://www.coldwatercreek.com/)

Today there was a sidewalk sale outside Jackās Surf and Sport in Huntington Beach. I got S3 a Quiksilver ski (snowboard) jacket, which was originally $160 for $30. Most of the ski clothes were 50% off, but this particular pattern and another one were only $30. Woo hoo!!
