Needed some new running shoes for spring. I bought a pair for $60. The next day I got a coupon in the mail for $10 off at a different store. I went to check it out and found the shoes there were $15 less than I had paid at the first store plus I used the coupon so got the shoes for $25 less than the original pair (which I promptly returned for a refund). Yah!

PackMom-That is how I shop all the time; as soon as I buy something I find it elsewhere cheaper. I have learned not to remove tags or lose receipts until I need to wear something as it always goes on sale or is found somewhere else for less!

My close friend and I will always discuss where the deals are before heading out as one of us might have received a sale flyer or coupon the other did not get.

The prices are scary theyāre so low on some items. Either we pay a HUGE markup or theyāre selling a lot of nice things well below costsāperhaps both! In any case my wardrobe was quite dated & itās nice that now I can afford to spruce it up at extremely low prices!

Now, how to get myself to part with the pieces I still fit & like but are bursting my closet & dresser.

āNow, how to get myself to part with the pieces I still fit & like but are bursting my closet & dresserā - do not part with them. I stopped shopping, instead picking up staff that my D. pitches - saves $$, time, but I agree, it does not save our economy. However, after spending $$ on support for college education, I feel good about myself without supporting economy. After all cannot support everything and everybody in a world, got to choose!

Unfortunately, D is under 100 pounds and I am not, so we are many sizes apart. She can wear some things of mine for special effect but I canāt fit into anything of hers. Some of my clothes havenāt been worn in a very long time but I still like & fit themāyes I am a packrat.

I have peices that are over 30 years old. But I have very good size closets, including walk in, and there are only 2 of us in a house, although Dās closet is full of her clothe. Do not feel bad about old clothe, I love them, they feel better against skin.

Yes, I have pieces that are 30+ years old as well that I still love & look great which I canāt find at any stores these days. I may have to consider putting some things in Dās closet, since she has very little in it anyway. (Shhhh, donāt tell my hubby!)

Not today, but recently:
Jiffy Pop-- for nostalgia and the fun of watching that nifty swirly foil puff up. Dās had never heard of it before, and had a ball. Cheap entertainment, and tasted good too. The downside came, however, when we read the nutritional info⦠Canāt they find a way to make good olā Jiffy Pop without trans fats?

Iāll have to check Whole Foods the next time Iām there to see if they have a knock-off. The process is probably patented though. Maybe itās gone off? Jiffy Pop has been around for ages.

woot.com has the flip videocamera on sale for $70 today. much fun!

Darn! I would have bought one of those in a minute! I actually follow Woot! on Twitter, but was too busy and didnāt see their tweet today⦠:(

Those show up frequently on WOOT. Iāve been tempted - are they worth it?

The model they were selling today is not the most updated model - the updated one is an HD version and sells at Costo for $199 (I think) - almost bought it a couple of weeks ago for my sonās school project, but ended up completing the project other ways.

But that said, this was still a good deal - they definitely cost over $100. I would like to have one so I can easily drop it in my purse, videotape my kids games when my husband canāt attend and download easy.

Darn!

Yesterday my boyfriend signed me up to skydive with him because he got a 30% discount if you bring a friend. I nearly fell out of my chair when he told me. Haha.

Got 4 $25 Godiva Gift Certificates from Costco for a total of $39.98 + tax or $9.99 apiece! Thatās 60% off!

Sunset magazine for a year = $10.00
I remember looking at a copy of Sunset on the stand for $4.99. At this rate, I can afford to stimulate the economy, ie not reading from the library. Gotta love deflation!

I was able to buy on-line Maximum PC ā 3 years for the price of less than 1! Hubby was amazed at the price I was able to get & this was many months back.

Went to the mall to get a haircut, and walked out with a bunch of stuff from Banana Republic. A $150 dress for $40, a $70 sweater for $19, etc. And, drumroll⦠I found the elusive denim skirt! Because I spent $100, they gave me a $30 gift card to be used after May 11. Iāll be baaaackā¦

I think my annual clothing budget has been spent in four months because of the crazy bargains. I have never been able to buy so much for so little money. Scary.

Yea, it has been tough resisting these clothing bargains. There were some great sales at an outlet store I went to in LA last May & then there were all the great deals at Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Nordstromās Rack, Macyās, Ross, a shoe store in Alexandria, a boutique store in HI! Oh well, I figure I ought to catch these deals while I can because the prices are unbelievable & many even below Ross!

Iām going to have to check these deals out! Iām starting a new job, and itās ābiz casualā which means more pants, tops, etc. Sounds like now is the time to buy!
