Just returned from B&N. $2 each for Rolling Stones Monopoly, Coca Cola Monopoly, Rolling Stones Trivial Pursuit, Uno Tubo and multiple puzzles.

Chicoâs - in store and on-line - 40% off the sale merchandise. Found a couple bargains.

Just picked up a set of flannel sheets at Macys. I paid about $25 for a King size set (not sure to the penny since I purchased something else with it). It was reduced, then another 40% off (I think) plus another 15% off with a coupon or a Macys credit card.

[Search Results - Macyâs](http://www1.macys.com/search/index.ognc?SearchTarget=*&Keyword=martha+stewart+flannel+sheets&KEYWORD_GO_BUTTON.x=13&KEYWORD_GO_BUTTON.y=16)

I bought the Inglenook pattern. The orig. price of this king set said $180.

One of my daughterâs is going on an impromtu ski day (never went before) and wanted a jacket more condusive to that. We found a ski jacket in Marshallâs marked down from 140.00 to 60.00 than 15.00 and I found a small tear, so we got it for 10.00. : )
Gloves were marked down to 5.00, final clearance and ski pants 70% off for 20.00.
Not badâŠ

To whoever was looking for a makeup mirror- they are on sale at Big Lots today for like $16 AND there is an additional 20% off. At that price you can buy TWO!

Debruns, wow! Great deals! Hope your daughter loves her first ski day!

Debruns, Northeastmom: Great Deals! Great buy on the king sized flannel sheets. We save a bundle by putting the heat down to around 62 at night and curling up into our flannel sheets.
Actually, husband gets warm easily so many times Iâll combine a regular fitted bottom sheet and a flannel flat top sheet.

Our good buy for the day was a new carâLOL. We traded in our oldest sonâs Jetta (had 72,000 miles on it) and upgraded him to a new 2012 Jetta. He doesnât know it yet (he left his car with us while heâs interning in DC)âhaha.
The salesman started out with the usualââWeâll give you X dollars for the trade in and weâll lower the sticker price to X dollarsâ. What he didnât realize was that he was trying to make a deal with someone who possesses a very sharp business sense (husband owns a business). Anyway, husband told the salesman if he could bring up the trade in price to X dollars and bring down the sticker price to X dollars so the difference would be X dollars, he would write out the check and buy it now. Well, manager came out and worked with the numbers. H and he went back and forth until the manager came in $50 less than husbandâs offer. Weâll pick the car up on Monday. Son has no idea and is going to be shocked when he hears the news.

nysmile, congratulations on the new car! Hope your son will love it!

Oh, and flannel sheets are already washed and on our bed. I love them!

Thanks. He had great luck with his previous Jetta. We figured if he ended up living in DC and not needing the car, we would give it to our younger son and sell off his Civic (IMOâis built like a toy compared to the Jetta).

You may have to crack open one of your bedroom windows because your new flannel sheets are going to keep you toasty warm. :)

Yeah, we know. We have had flannel sheets for years. We stopped using them when we bought very warm down blankets. When I saw these I grabbed them. DH likes them too. The whole set ended up costing a few dollars more than what stores charge for 2 pillow cases today.

I have ordered from them before and son was very happy

Northeastmom, I hope she has fun too, but either way she has a nice snow jacket to use. She was impressed with the athletic clothes at TJMaxx and Marshallâs, SO much less than other stores for good brands. I told her I always bought mine there and she got a Champion bra top for 7.99 and a dryfit tee for 5.99.

NYSmile Good luck with the JettaâŠwhat a treat that will be.

Oh, I know! I love those stores!

BTW, I remember when my boys went skiing for the first time! They had a lot of fun! They donât ski, but they have gone a few times, so they had the experience.

D has gone skiing & borrowed clothing from friendâs mom for the event. It was great because it fit her well but best of all, at the end she gave it all back & the gear isnât filling her closet. (It was also a LOT nicer than any gear we did or could easily have purchased.)

Debruns, Thanks

I hope your daughter has a great time skiing.

Mamom thanks for the heads up on the Vday cookie treat!

Okay, I have been procrastinating on ordering the Mother Lode Luggage forever. I just could not get myself to spend the money on these bags. Well, today I finally broke down to purchase. The reason is because they sent a special insider price on the piece that I was staring at for the last 3 years. Oh, and I tried to go through ebates and the price changed to their current pricing. Then I put it in my cart and tried to go through ebates and it went through at the special price. Also, they offer reward points now, so that was a nice surprise for me (I have not ordered there in a few years, so was unaware). I am very pleased. Oh, and no tax to where I had it shipped and no shipping charges for this order! Yay!

The posts on GW prompted me to visit our local thrift store. I hadnât gone there in a long time. I found a new in box William Sonoma chocolate fondue pot for $3.99 and a new apple peeler/corer for $3.99. On my way to the cashier, I saw âthe rackâ you were talking about with clothes ready to be distributed. Right in front was an INC summer dress that I had passed up in Macyâs last summer! In my size and $5.99. Sweet.

lilmom that is a great thing to see something you were good about passing up, handed to you later at a discount.
I found a denim skirt on Ebay, new, that was way too much money at JCrew but my daughter loved it. It was perfect when it came, tags on and under 15.00. (over 50.00 at JCrew last season) Not as good as 5.99 but still a nice reward for waiting.

Excellent sales at Lord and Taylor! I picked up 2 pairs of shoes (flats that I can walk in). I spent less than $50 and that was the total for both pairs! Both are all leather and are AK shoes. Here is what I bought:

[AK Anne Klein Gold Wash Crocco Womenâs Grefty](http://www.shoes.com/en-US/Product/EC1269846-5153805/AK+Anne+Klein/Gold+Wash+Crocco/Womenâs+Grefty.aspx)

Only I purchased these in a dark silver.

[AK Anne Klein Taupe Mini Lizard Womenâs Kyte](http://www.shoes.com/en-US/Product/EC1249527-5142874/AK+Anne+Klein/Taupe+Mini+Lizard/Womenâs+Kyte.aspx)

The color of mine are dark natural, which means slightly darker than the ones shown in the link above.

It has been a few years since I purchased new shoes, so I am thrilled!
