Picked up a memory foam topper for D at Kohls. After codes, free shipping, etc it came to $82. I’ve already picked up a hypo allergenic “feather” bed on clearance last fall…so after layering it all she should be happy.

Just got FREE duplicate checks and FREE additional deposit slips with our account information on them! YIPPEE!! Was just thinking about ordering new ones when I decided to double-check what special things we are entitled to with our bank because we keep a significant balance there & found out that these are a few of the benefits. We also get a $15 credit off annual safety deposit fee and a few other perks. I hadn’t ordered checks in a while & we were running out.

Not really “a buy”, but an unanticipated savings…We had a large tree limb partially fall this week. I needed to call a tree trimmer, but thought I’d call the city first. Because it’s near the street, the city took care of it, taking it down within hours of calling them. My taxes at work!

Ecco black ballet flats…$8
Amiana brown flats $6

Couldn’t believe the retail price of these shoes when I came home and checked online. My guess is they are last season…but hey…they fit and they are new and very nice. GW is the place!!

Great buy Thumper!
I am normally not a big Kohl’s shopper but I did buy an expensive item and got 30.00 Kohl’s bucks. My daughter wanted a silver ring, with the 15% off extra online coupon, it was pretty much free. That always feels good.

Thumper - I like to buy things, let them sit in my closet for a while before I wear them, so I am always wearing last season’s. If they are classic, who would know.

I bought a dress at Lord and Taylor today. It was 50% off, additional 20% off today, and 10% off for using L&T card. I said they were practically giving it away. D2 also bought 3 pair of shoes with similar discount.

For those of you who will be backpack shopping, check it out. D bought a Patagonia roomy backpack for 44% off - just under $50. Lots of North Face there as well. Free shipping.

Another great feature of 6pm is that many of the products have a short video highlighting the product - through the video we were able to see how big the backpack was with an actual person and they zipped/unzipped all the storage areas so you could see exactly what you are getting. I really like that feature!

Dick’s has its end of summer sale going on with 50% off the lowest price marked. I bought a thermal shirt for $7.97 for my son to have for college. It must have been leftover from last winter. They also had lots of long-sleeved Under Armour in the $15 range; not a super bargain, but not bad.

My D needed a new purse, so I went to Marshall’s where I had gotten my Le Sport Sac last summer on sale, and got her one, different colors, same size. It was also the last one there, just as mine had been, and marked down to $29 from $79.

They have nice High Sierra backpacks at Ross, $15.99 retail $60 and $70 and $27.99 retail $120.00. Nice patterns, girly and neutral. Some Roxy bags, and Jansport.

Looking for boots for my size 14 S for winter that have some waterproof qualities. Found lots of hiker types which he did not want to wear. Then on Zappos, one of my most favorite places to shop, found men’s Ugg boots marked down from $200 to $117.99 which includes free shipping both ways. Ordered in both size 14 and 15 just in case and will ship back the one that doesn’t fit.

I got a great deal at Kohl’s. Men’s suit separates were on sale at 70% off the original price. I got my youngest son a jacket and matching pants for $26 and that’s before the 15% discount and $10 of Kohl’s cash! He probably won’t fit this in another year or so when he starts filling out, but if he just wears it once or twice, I’ll feel I’ve gotten my moneys worth.

Just got 5 pairs of Thorlo socks for under $60, shipped to my home! I’m very pleased because they are the best for me–keep me warm & blister-free! They wanted to charge me for shipping but I spoke to their customer service & it was waived, plus they answered my many questions because I wanted to try some new styles of socks that they offer. Thorlos are very hard to find around HI.

Gap is having 30 or 25% off items today which isn’t that great, but I also had a 10.00 coupon which made it better…a 20.00 item was a lot less.

Anyone see any dress shirt sales that are good? My son is starting a job where he has to start wearing them more and Marshall’s/TJMaxx don’t have his small size often (14 1/2-15)
