Check LandsEnd, especially the “on the counter” ans Overstock sections. We have been very pleased with the shirts for DH. The look great, hold up well and the “no iron” actually don’t need ironing if you snatch them out of the dryer. And I iron everything…

Express has shirts for thin young men. My S gets the slim fit ones there. S tends not to have to iron much, as long as he is very careful when they’re done being dried & snatches them out right away & hangs them.

I’ll second Lands End shirts. Their no-iron ones are excellent. We’ve been buying these shirts for my husband for years. I believe that they have the fitted styles as well.

There is a whole thread someplace on this forum about clothes for slim guys. I will say…both of my slim guys find the Lands End shirts are WAY too big…and wide. Their version of slim isn’t slim enough.

Debruns…try H&M. They have inexpensive dress shirts, and have a slim cut model. The quality isn’t the best, but it will buy you some time to find better quality ones on sale or at Marshalls/TJMaxx. Banana Republic also does…and so does Express (as noted above). You would need to look on the sale rack there.

Also, (you guys know me)…I’ve gotten all of the above named brands PLUS Hugo Boss and Brooks Brothers slim small shirts at Goodwill. Or you could check a consignement shop. My son is the same shirt size as Debruns.

Are there any no-iron inexpensive slim dress shirts that do not have the pocket on the front? Thats what my s prefers. We got some on sale and with a coupon in Macys, but they were still not cheap.

I did get one blue dress shirt (slimmer fit) on sale at Lands End and we will see how that goes and I know H & M is my daughter’s new place to shop so I will also look there for guys and let him know. She was sad that a white flutter sleeve shirt she loved at JCrew wasn’t made anymore, it was so versatile and she liked it was all cotton, etc. She walked into H & M last month and facing her, someone didn’t put the shirt back correctly, was an “almost” identical shirt for 5.00! Sure it’s not J Crew, but it looks just as cute and has washed well and much cheaper.

It is harder with slimmer males to find things that fit well, I told him to buy a few when found, don’t count on them being there later.

Thumper, I am going to C Shop today to drop off a couple of things, will look there also. Men’s clothes don’t move as fast at GW and C.Shops, sometimes better pickings.

Thumper…a new GW opens in our town at the end of the month. That means I’ll have two GW’s within a 5 mile radius…woohooo!

Slim is not easy to find. And Slim/Tall is nearly impossible. I’d try those recommeded above, and Nordstrom’s Rack. Years ago DH was told by a Nordstrom’s employee to try the rack, as the slim/tall items get transfered to the rack. Dh found he had the largest selection there, as opposed to the regular stores.

My S falls into the slim/tall group. For interviews he needed a nice dress shirt which I found at Mens Warehouse. Not cheap but it is nice to wear a shirt that fits.

Mens Warehouse was the place my son found his first suit…it needed a little altering but they were very helpful and everything looked nice.
He had a slim friend in high school, that was also shorter in stature (as his Dad)and his father purchased some nice suits on a trip to China on business. They have a lot of clothes he said more suited to him than the larger sizes the US sells and felt for once in the “majority”. : )

TJMaxx had a new selection of Baggalini bags. They also had a few very nice The North Face backpacks specifically designed to fit women.

My S also got his prom tux there. They sent out discounts which of course was a motivator but since the shirt turned out to be such a nice fit, it seemed they were a got choice and they were.

This isn’t a “great” deal but its a “good” deal. Ordered a new pair of running shoes for DH. They are the newest version of these shoes so aren’t at any of the overstock or outlet sites. List price is $110. Was able to order them for $85.95 plus free s&h and I ordered through my mrrebates link so will get an additional $2.50 off. So thats approximately a 25% savings. I am happy.

I got a pair of khaki capris for $10 at Macy’s.

Bought a bed set (comforter, pillowcase, fitted sheet, flat sheet) for under $30 for college a Target

Wow packalldwy.

My sister got 1 comforter set & 2 500 or 600 count all cotton sheet sets at Macy’s all for under $100!

I just bought a 100% cotton including cotton fill mattress pad at LLBean for $59 (using $10 off coupon that the customer service lady applied on my behalf at my request, even tho I didn’t have a code & the code I gave her was expired). While that’s not CHEAP, for 100% cotton and compared with the cost of buying an entirely new mattress set, it’s a terrific bargain, especially with free shipping also included. Other 100% cotton options were MUCH more, so I’m happy. Around here, foam & synthetics are just too hot & don’t allow for a good night’s sleep. The mattress we got has a pillow top that has some synthetic that makes me feel very hot & I suspect that may be causing H to toss & turn too (he sleeps much better when he’s cooler). I’m hoping this will make a bit difference & give us much more restful slumber.

Lands End was having an additional 30% off sale items today. I ordered this nice Tailored Fit No Iron Oxford Shirt in Sail Blue Guarded Stripe. Originally $50.00, but on sale for $24.99 plus an additional 30% off. Bottom Line cost was just around $17.50.

DH’s new Asics arrived today! Happy camper, or he will be when his back fully heals and he is runing again.

jym626, Brooks Bros. makes a non-iron slim dress shirt and for 3 bucks will remove the pocket. You never, never buy these full price. Wait for the sales, especially online. They are brilliant shirts.
