If you have a livingsocial account, this is a deal for free money ($50 for spending $24) for your 529 account with a little bit of work and requirement to open a new GradSave account (giving your personal info and your beneficiary 529 account info).

Great find, nearandfar! I love J. Crew and buy many things for D and her BF there. They currently have an extra 30% off final sale items - the code is STYLEFIND. This is in the store and online.

I found a pink satin bowling type jacket with black trim at a thrift shop for $2.99. I need it for a Grease spoof show I’m doing. I LOVE this thrift shop!

More thrift store deals…at Goodwill got DH a Jos.A. Banks fleece vest, got S2 a RL Polo quarter zip pullover (looks unworn) and a new with tags Columbia swimsuit.

Didn’t buy but saw some good clearance deals on Cephalon cookware at Target.

I signed up for Groupon and never bought anything until last week when I purchased a two-night stay at a boutique hotel in NYC ($185–with taxes it turned out to be $235 per night). According to my H, (who’s travels to NYC for work at least once twice a month) it’s a great price for a NYC hotel room in midtown. Place had good reviews on Trip Advisor. Going this week, so I’ll get to see if it really is a “deal”.

I love Goodwill-supposedly we have the largest in the entire country right here in Seattle. Over the weekend I got a like-new Helly Hansen jacket in my size and favorite color (purple) for $13. That’s much more than I usually spend on one item there, but I know these coats got for $150+ depending on style. D went to school today in a sweater she paid $1.29 for there-it’s from Nordstrom originally-that’s what-$50 or more?

Ooh, I’m jealous of the HH jacket purchase. I got a great deal on a purple HH jacket on ebay many years ago, but then lost it, and I’ve been looking for a replacement ever since!
