Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 1)

I think Costco distributes merchandise among its stores so only some sites get the designer stuff, typically, those are the stores where chichi crowd tends to shop. When I find something at the Kirkland store (which is where Microsofties like to shop), I always check my local store to see if I can buy the same thing and pay less in taxes (7.6% vs 10%), and usually my local store does not have it!

Hey I live in a chichi area. Hope we get the uggs.

If anyone cares for Uggs that look like this, NM has them on sale:

[UGG Australia-Sunsparkle Shear Boot*](http://www.neimanmarcus.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?itemId=prod99620110&searchType=SALE&parentId=cat980731&icid=src_Sale+Silo+Landing&rte=%252Fstore%252Fcatalog%252Ftemplate%252FsaleSiloE.jhtml%253FitemId%253Dcat980731%2526parentId%253Dcat000000%2526siloId%253Dcat980731%2526icid%253DtopNavcat980731)

Mom60 I haven’t seen them. They did have the Kirkland variety and I bought DD a pair to hold her over till Christmas. I just bought myself two knockoff pairs in the shorter style for $6.95 each on 6pm.com. With shipping two pair for aroudn $25. but I don’t care whether they are “real” or not. Nordstroms did have a slight sale on them on Black Friday but it was like 10% off the price so still expensive.

If anyone here buys their hair care products at Gene Juarez salons, chances are that yours will have the same deal I got at mine: “buy two hair products, get one free” which runs until Christmas. I went for my hair cut and walked out with a bag full of Kerastase stuff - now I will not be buying shampoos and conditioners for the next 2 years :)

I went to Macys yesterday. I bought 4 blazers for about $17-18 each. The label says JM Collections, and the original price was 79.00 each. They were marked down to 39.50 with 40% off of that price. Then an additional 20% was taken off the purchase with a coupon or by using the store card.

2 are a gift for mom, and 2 are for me!!

Today’s Amazon special: high end Japanese knives. Yum.

^ I am VERY tempted by that offer.

The thread is to long so forgive me if this is a repeat.

[JCPenney[/url]
Type “20friend” in the promo for 20% off. I bought new drapes for my living room. Make sure you check out their 75% off and the 9.99 clearance for household items you can’t beat it. I believe the other code is “25merry” for free shipping.

Aeropostale has great sales on line, but if you go to the store and are military or retired military show your ID, you get 10% off.

RackRoom shoes also gives 10% off for military

Coldstone Creamery gives military discount too.

www.target.com](http://www.jcpenney.com)
has $5 off of $50 bill. Our DD doesn’t like UGGS, but she likes rainboots (go to any college campus on a rainy day and it the rage). They have a ton. She is an equestrian, and I got a pair in black with horses on them (small size), but unfortunately that was my second choice, my 1st was sold out, they were navy with ducks. I have never seen them in stores, only on line. I even checked the 2 story Target for them.
There’s my list, hope it helps.

Also my favorite gift to give is the “Entertainment book”. Right now they have $10 off and free shipping. The book is area specific, and it includes everything from discounts at hotels to dry cleaning. Just place your zip and it will come up with your area book.
http://www.entertainment.com/discount/home.shtml

Could not find the horse rain boots on target online

They are all called YEE HAW.

Here’s the link, hope that helps.
http://www.target.com/Rain-Boots-Womens-Shoes/b/ref=sc_fe_l_2/184-0325275-0200337?ie=UTF8&node=13913321

For me it was the last line on the 1st page.

One misleading thing about the Entertainment books (at least the ones in our area) are selling at the “discounted” price by local non-profits for the same price as the sale price on-line. I work at a small library and we sell them for $20 and make a $10 profit. If you buy them on-line for that price Entertainment makes all the profit. oops, just checked the on-line price for the book in my area - it’s $25. That’s $5 MORE then what we sell them for at my library.

Bulletandpima- thank you. I couldn’t see the horses the picture was too small! I kept looking for horses in the description. They come in whole sizes. Have you tried them before. Order up a size or down?

I had a Banh Mi sandwich showdown–Seattle Deli vs Saigon Deli. Grilled pork. It was so close but I give the nod to: Seattle Deli by a nose. I liked the thinner sliced cucumber and slightly more meat in their version. My roll at Saigon Deli was a little fresher. But both provide the best $2.50 sandwich you can find in Seattle. I might have to get two more for dinner.

Amazing. A $2.50 sandwich in Seattle? That’s definitely the good buy of the day! I’m heading out for lunch, but I expect to pay more than $2.50. (I’m tempted to try stuff at Marination Mobile which won the Best Food Cart in the Country award from Good Morning America Weekend but I’ll wait until they come closer
)

Just come down to Little Saigon at 12th and S. Jackson.

I order the actual size, but DD floats between a 7 1/2 and an 8 depending on the brand. The only problem with them is they are sim to crocs, wide around the top of the foot, if she has a narrow foot in a 1/2 size, then I would suggest sizing down, if she wears normal full size then keep it at the size.

Honestly, they look so cute on the girls on rainy days with their jeans tucked in. Our DD is a girl who dresses fashion forward, so UGGS to her were SOOOO yesterday.

She is that way with her jewelry too. That is why I buy from Eve’s addiction. Her favorite earrings are from there
ALGERIAN LOVE KNOTS. She also loves Forever 21 jewelry. It is as cheap as Claire’s, but very unique that nobody else will have it.

I don’t know if Aeropostale still has the sale going on, but on Cyber Monday they had hoodies for 9.99. Henley’s for the same price too.

Anybody know of good a site for Under Armor deals?

Finally, if you want a unique gift, WH has their own Xmas ornaments, @16. This yr’s ornament is light blue with snow flakes. edging it. I have bought them for yrs (24th yr) and actually have a tree we affectionately call the WH tree, I can tell you they are very high quality and a truly unique gift
better than the pre-packaged items sold at Macy’s, or Target when you need a boss, secret santa or hostess gift. Just go to [White House Historical Association / Museum Shop - Home](http://www.whitehousehistory.org/shop/default.aspx)

The picture is bad, the snow flakes in blue are actually almost irridescent. Check out their other stuff, Bullet bought me the business card holder that was designed from the The Taft Tea Set —Tiffany looking— it can be found under the gift section.

b&p, that is a really cool ornament. Maybe I should start a new tradition
I think I already have enough cat and dog ornaments.

The White House ornaments are really lovely–very beautiful and great quality. We have been fortunate to receive them as gifts. They look wonderful on the Christmas tree and I enjoy the sense of history.

I bought cute colorful underarmor at TJ Maxx for my youngest daughter in the woman’s section. Have seen it in mens as well. Also bought Under Armor type, but Nike brand there for $12.99.
