I changed my mind about a purchase I made the other day at American Eagle. I returned the pants. After returning them, I walked across the lot and went into GAP. I ended up using the money on the returned pair of pants (American Eagle) and used it to buy TWO higher quality pairs of pants at the GAP. I bought a pair of Men’s Jeans (originally priced at around $55) for $22.49 and a pair of Men’s Cord Jeans (originally priced at $49.00) for
$19.74. GAP had a bunch of stuff on sale plus an additional 25% off the sale price.

I have been waiting eagerly for the Talbots to have their online sale. I have narrow feet so I buy almost all of my shoes from them. The ones I had my eye on for awhile are now $79, so I ordered. Not cheap, but better than the $119 original price.

Lands End at the brick and mortar Sears: Bought 3 fleece tops (originally 32.50 each, just $12 each this morning).

Old Navy- Men’s boxer shorts- originally 8.50 each, now all were 3 for 10.00, and there were some on clearance for 2.99 today. I have not seen them on sale for less than $6 in quite some time.

Similar American Eagle story. Bought a Navy wool Pea coat there…originally $99.99 on sale for $79.99 the day after Thanksgiving. BUT then I got the 30% off coupon for Kohls (woohoo). They had a black Ralph Lauren pea coat…original price $200, marked down to $100…with 30% off…$70. Guess where that American Eagle coat went? Back to AE.

I took the camcorder I bought at Costco back, because the same one at B&H was a bit cheaper (and no tax or shipping!). I estimate that I probably saved close to $100. But then I went back in the store to pick up some bread and ended up blowing $$ on Juicy velour sweats for DDs. There is a reason Costco makes you go through the isles of electronics and clothes to get to the food!

I will tell you my “good buy of the day” boot story when (if) I get the boots from H for Christmas :)

I’m saving tons of money because DD’s Vista killed our wireless. I did not buy a thing during Saks 2 day sale. Please pardon my spelling and grammar since I’m still getting used to typing on my iPhone. No online shopping until we fix the &@$& thing.

Looking for a “good buy” on a quality winter short downish type jacket for me…something LLBean might have…didn’t find much “sale” on their website yet…if anyone can recommend another website for good winter outerwear I would appreciate it!

(the stuff at the department stores around here is kind of “yuck”!)

Abasket, check REI - they occasionally have good stuff on sale. I’d love to check for you, but H is still messing with our wireless. Dd plugged her laptop directly into the modem, and I’m learning typing on my phone. It is not going fast as you can see :)

Last year I thought I remembered buying some Hickory Farms stuff at a really good discount. This year there’s only this [Sausage & Cheese Gifts | Hickory Farms](<a href=“Food Gift Baskets | Gift Basket Delivery | Hickory Farms”>Food Gift Baskets | Gift Basket Delivery | Hickory Farms) Adding in the cost of shipping and it would better just to go to the store. My oldest loves that kind of stuff - any deals out there someplace else? Or maybe it’s too early (too late??) for the good deals?

Abasket–definately check out REI.com they are having a sale. If you have a store near you, you can order online and ship to the store for free.

I’ve purchased Hickory Farms products at Target, clearance priced, but I suspect it’s hit and miss.

I picked up some silver and white gift wrap and silver ribbon for half off today–we have a couple of weddings coming up.

REI has an online outlet store (reioutlet.com) with some nice deals if they have what you want. Also, at Marshall’s today, all their winter coats were marked down.

I did peek at the reioutlet - will keep in mind, though didn’t see a style I was looking for right now.

I caved yesterday and ordered a down coat from LLBean - not a horrible price if it turns out to be the length and bulk I’m looking for - we shall see when it arrives!!!
