<p>Just got back from Goodwill…with a new pair of Ann Taylor Loft black pants $5) and a Talbots rib knit turtle neck ($9). And they both fit like they were made for ME!!!</p>
<p>I just booked a hotel room in Puerto Vallarta over Easter break for $75/night on Priceline. I got the Sheraton, which is a 4* property. Another person bid resort properties and got the Westin for $90/night. Hotel rooms are really cheap right now, just about everywhere.</p>

<p>After returning something today at Penney’s I happened to walk by the petite department and noticed a 70% off rack. I got a beautiful dress that I can wear to an upcoming fall wedding for $20! It was originally priced at $120!</p>
<p>I also got my son a pair of chino’s from AE after reading recommendations on another thread about how they are the pants to wear for college interviews. Cost? $14.97!</p>
<p>Bought myself some Dansko clogs last Oct. Fit great,felt great. After a few months, they started squeaking with every step I took. It was driving me crazy and I was kicking myself for spending so much $ on them.</p>
<p>I googled the prob. and found out there are lots of people with squeaky Dansko’s.
Found the CS # and called. Was told to return to place of purchase.
I had no receipt, no box, no store bag,nada but figured what the heck.</p>
<p>I just got home from the mall. I walked in with squeaky clogs and walked out wearing a brand new pair, no questions asked…whoopee.<br>
Don’t know if that qualifies as a good deal or not but it def. made my day.</p>

<p>It was a lot of fun. Guests were Rocco DiSpirito, Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine), and Gretta (fashion consultant). I had always thought Rachael was “cute” on TV but she’s actually very, very pretty from just 12 inches away (she walks up the entire center aisle to say thanks for coming). She had a cold from being on a Mardi Gras float so she was a bit subdued during the scene setups. We were seated in the back row so didn’t get to sample the two dishes she made, but they smelled great.</p>
<p>Today is Free Pancake Day at IHOP. Every customer is treated to a free short stack of pancakes. Until 10pm.</p>

I picked up a replacement lampshade for the floor lamp in my room today at Ross. 7.99 and it is just the color I was looking for.
The master bedroom is coming together. New carpet is in.Went with a great remnant at a great cost through a business associate. Free replacement trim kit on the shower faucets, fireplace turned into gas with fake logs. Thursday the new loveseat and chair arrive. The lampshade will go nicely.</p>
<p>Went to IKEA for a sofa bed cover. Original price is US$89 but near the cashier counter, I found they have floor sample for sale. Exactly the color I want, only US$9.99. And I spent US$20 to wash it twice at a self laundry (too big for household washer).</p>
<p>IKEA is a goldmine for bargains. It is only 45 min drive to get there, but I resist the urge to go there often. My IKEA bargain of the week - new drapes for the exercise rooom @ $30/pair! We have 10-foot ceilings, and it is always a royal pain to find inexpensive long drapes!</p>

<p>D wanted us to visit her at her midwestern U for an event next month over a weekend. Went to priceline and got a 3-star hotel near campus for $63 including tax, 2 days of midsized rental car with airport pick up for $48. Was able to get one flight free with frequent flier miles, and H’s flight for $98 using 10,000 miles for partial credit. Total cost of weekend for 2 of us about $200 (not counting taking all of D’s friends out to eat a few times).

<p>OK - I’m not a big fan of Old Navy but I had an old gift cert for $23 lying around so I stopped in yesterday. Lots of clearance items. The display was a mess, but I found some amazing deals. I walked out with 2 short sleeve t-shirts, a pretty red long sleeve shirt and a really nice thick hot pink fleece (with full zip) - all for that 23 bucks.</p>
