Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 1)

Night 1 with the weighted blanket: I did wake up in the middle of the night (as usual) but was able to get back to sleep. Could have been the blanket, could have been fatigue from several nights of poor quality sleep. When I woke up again early this morning I felt a bit claustrophobic and pushed back the top of the blanket that was near my neck (easier said than done). I usually like being warm when I go to sleep and then get hot in the middle of the night, so toss the covers during the night. Won’t be easy with a 15 lb. blanket.

Night 2: It got REALLY COLD all of a sudden so the warm, heavy blanket was appreciated. Woke up once and went right back to sleep. Progress!!

Night 3: still getting used to it. Woke up just before 6 (normal wake time) but might have actually slept through the night

Night 4: terrible night’s sleep. Awoke 3 or 4 times. Have a headache (probably slept in a weird position).

Our printer has been reliable for several years but is on its last legs. Each time I replace an ink cartridge it gives me error messages and I have to sweet talk it and fenagle it and fuss with the cartridge and the cartridge door several times. And I have a few unopened packs of ink cartridges remaining.

I was watching the upcoming Black Friday sale on this printer (Best Buy) , but found it today on sale (Staples), with an additional $20 off that brings it to the exact same price it will be on Black Friday at Best Buy, plus I am getting an additional 8% back though today’s one day cashback sale day promo on retailmenot (several companies are giving up to 20% back- this one is 8%). The printer will be delivered, for free, tomorrow. Original price of the printer is $179.99 I am getting it for $69.99 plus the 8% cashback ($5.60).

Take a look at the cashback day sale on retaimenot. Its today only.

Well the retailmenot deal is over, but my new printer, ordered at 5:30 last night, was at my door by 10:30 this morning!

Oh and I tried a new hairdresser today. What cost me $135 at my previous place was only $50 at the new one!

I THINK I got a good deal at Costco, but would like to know what others think.
They had IPhone 11 for 669, but I got 270 costco cash, so I paid only 400 each, for the “64 base” model, which seems like plenty for us.
I called Verizon, and they didn’t seem to think they’d have the 11 on BOGO the day after Thanksgiving (spelled out for @MomofWildChild  ).
This is a big deal for me, because we are android people. Someone let me know if I made a mistake. I ordered them, but they won’t be in until Tuesday, so I can change my mind.

LOL. I have the same problem at work, but I’ve learned BOPIS now! I think the phones sound like a good deal. I would keep them.

I had to look up what BOPIS stands for, but Google is my friend. Thanks!

BOPIS? When I google it said it was some east asian food.

Buy online, pick up in store

Works awesome at Nordstrom. Park at their bar, order a glass of wine and an appetizer, poke around their website on your phone, order stuff, finish your wine, go downstairs, grab your order, then hop on the bus
I love this kind of shopping!

I work for a retail company and our experience with BOPIS is tremendous. We get 75% of web purchases picked up in the store, which means lots of add-ons while they are in the store.

We don’t have a bar, though- unfortunately. Of maybe from MY perspective, VERY fortunately!

@1214mom I had to replace S19’s phone around the time the iPhone 11 came out. I also needed a new phone as mine was slowly dying. Verizon had sent out a BOGO offer, so I spent some time researching all the “offers” - Sams Club, Verizon, Apple. Turns out the BOGO wasn’t such a good deal for me b/c it required me to update the service plan for all five of our phones - the monthly bill for each phone would go up. So within a few months, I would’ve “paid” for that “free” phone but the monthly plan would remain as the more expensive plan even after I’d recovered the cost of that “free” phone. So after about six months, I’d be paying for a more expensive plan that I could not change back, in which case Verizon would end up winning. After comparing all the information, I figured that Sam’s had the best deal - $150 gift card for every phone I purchased and I could keep my cheaper Verizon plan.

It definitely pays to read the fine print. The BOGO free was not all it seemed to be! I’m guessing you probably did better with your Costco deal.
