Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 1)

Talbots has some fantastic sales going on as well. I bought 3 sweaters today for under $65 total that would’ve been $250 before tax at full price.

Eddie Bauer President’s Day sale, 40% off everything plus free shipping. If you (like me) have been waiting for a new Charly raincoat, it’s a good time to jump! (They’re really great for travel.)

@HarrietMWelsch I’ve been looking at the Rainfoil® Packable Jacket it packs into a pouch for travel. Code peak50 still works on clearance and free shipping too. I got some nice flannel lined jeans for $30

Boden on sale now on Zulily.

Can’t pass up a good Athleta sale! Extra 30% off sale tops and jackets today - online for sure not sure about stores - good through Monday I think. Got another of my current favorite comfy “wrap” cardigans from there and a cute skirt that will work with tights and on it’s own in summer.

Talbots has extra 70 percent off on all markdowns and an extra 20 percent off on sweater and pant markdowns. Items are final sale, though.

Lots of coupons and sales at DSW. Check your account or app if you have it. I got a pair of grasshoppers white slip on sneaker shoes ($45 on amazon) for $2.86, a 6 pack of gym ankle socks (on clearance $10.98) for 52 cents and I still have a $10 off coupon (you get to select the perks coupon in your account once a year) that’s good til the end of April.

One day sale on down/fill mix puffer packable jackets at 32 degrees for $24.99 https://www.32degrees.com/collections/flash-sale?sort_by=manual&compactView=true&page=1

I already have a short packable coat so bought a longer down/fill packable coat for 36.99 https://www.32degrees.com/products/womens-ultra-light-down-long-packable-jacket?collection=womens&variant=21794755969113

Thanks @jym626, I bought one of the longer ones. I was looking for a longer packable down coat to walk in.

Sometimes it’s the little deals that get me excited…

Yesterday CVS emailed me a $2 off anything extra care buck that was only valid for two days, I had to pick up a prescription today so I thought I use it on a candy bar or something. Today they emailed me a $4 off any cosmetic coupon again only valid for two days. When I pick up my prescription it printed out a $4 off $12 on any Maybelline. I had a $2 off Maybelline coupon on my account and I guess CVS has a 25% off all cosmetics sale going on this week too.

So I picked up a Maybelline lip balm for $4.79 and a lip gloss for $8.59, after coupons and with tax my total was $1.11 and I got $5 in regular extra care bucks to use later because I bought two Maybelline products:-)

I was proud of my deal but slightly bummed I left without any candy, then I went HEB (ubiquitous TX grocery store). They had Haribo Gold Gummies bears in the 5 oz. pack on sale for $0.99 and an in store coupon buy 2 get one free so they were only $0.66 each. I got my candy fix and DH and DS got a surprise too:-)

@3scoutsmom I’m glad you get something from CVS. Frankly, I think their rewards program is terrible. I shop there, and they have my email…and I have never received a coupon or a dime off of anything. I’ve always wondered why programs like this can’t just keep my “rewards” accessible by presenting my CVS card when making a purchase?

@thumper1 - that’s strange you don’t get any CVS coupons via email. I get a 40% off one item coupon at least 3 times a month from them.

My H plays the drug store coupon/rebates game and has for years. He seems to have points/coupons/offers up the wazoo! CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens.

I just went into my cvs account. First, they made me update my password, and then I looked at my settings and had turned off all email notifications (for ads, etc). I just turned them back on. Will see what I get. NEver got a 40% off one! @thumper1 maybe your settings are off too.

Like @showmom858, I get several 40% of coupons a month in my email. I just got one this morning. You can’t use them on sale items though, but for drugstore higher prices items such as face creams they are definitely worth it.

All of the CVS rewards go to dh’s email. He has to “push” them to our card, but he does that fairly often. Or, I can log in to our CVS account (in his name) to see what coupons are there and then select any that I want to use and add them to the card. We don’t actually use a physical card; we just enter our phone number at check out. I don’t shop at CVS often but when I do, I usually plan ahead of time so I can make sure any coupons or discounts are added to the card before I go. Dh will usually tell me when we get a big one, like “20-25% off entire purchase” or “40% off one item” so I can then stock up on expensive stuff like my kids’ face cleanser or makeup.

Sorry…didn’t mean to highjack the thread. Maybe we need a separate one on rewards programs…

I like using the CVS 40% off coupons on HP printer ink:-) @thumper1 make sure you sign up for their beauty club, I think I get a lot of coupons from that. I also just got an email reminding me they are sending out a mailer with a 25% off entire order coupon

For me money not spent is money saved. I can’t deal with the long receipts at CVS. I rarely go there.

So the new ski jacket I bought went on a great sale on another site (55% off). The place I bought it could only match to 40% off (their policy) but gave me additional $25 in their rewards account and free shipping if I order something else. Better than nothing!
