Needing new bedding for two bedrooms. Went to the regional dept.store at the mall and got lucky at the clearance sale. Found two Biltmore for the Home bed-in-a-bag sets that were originally priced at $306, marked down to $153 and then an extra 50% off. Also found the matching accent pillow on sale too, reduced from $48 to $11.99. Got it all for a total of $179…whoohoo…
Will anybody think it’s weird that I’ll have the same set in two bedrooms ( our master and a guest room) of my house? Who really cares? They were such good quality at such a good price. I just couldn’t pass it up.

PacMom, we have the same bedding in our master and big guest bedrooms. Same deal - I got quality bedding on sale. Who cares? Our guests do not usually wander into our master bedroom, so it is just us who are aware of this fact, and we are fine with it. :)

June usually means beginning of summer sales, so check you favorite retailer’s website. Nordstrom’s sale on the web began 2 days before their store sale.

Whoo hoo. Went to Lowes for some bracket or something and they had the floor model stovetops on major markdowns. One was just what we had been looking for. It was marked $350 down from $600-700 or so. And on that day, ALL appliances were 10% off. DH pointed out to manager that there were some parts missing and we got a price of $299. When DH got home, I realized we had a Lowes coupon for $25. DH took it in the next day and got a credit.

Sooo, brand new stainless cooktop for @ $275.

And DH just bought a matching wall oven for $170 off craigslist. This one is used, but I am very happy.

Our old appliances were from the 60s.

To all you wonderful shoppers- I am going to be ordering a queen sized airbed sometime in the next month. If you see a good price.

Costco has a full or queen-sized Aerobed listed in their new monthly coupons. It doesn’t show how much it cost though so can’t help there. I was curious myself.

The aerobed in Costco add is usually $115, I THINK…
Coupon is for $30 off.
BB&B has these normally about $140-150, and one can usually snag a coupon for 20% off…
so I’m thinking the Costco deal is pretty good…

Costco has the airbed with the coupon starting today. We have absolutely no experiences with any airbed. The Aerobed on Costco online gets 3 out of 5 stars. Has anyone used one? D would be using it as her bed for about a week when she moves to a new town and apartment prior to purchasing a real bed. It would also be used my us when we come to visit her which would probably be twice a year max. Also looking at another brand on Amazon that the name is escaping me right now. Brand Intex. They have several different models at different price points.

We have an Aerobed brand twin air bed that we have had for a good 5 years. Still works, still stays firm - and we use it lots - for my younger D’s sleepovers, to take to hotels (there are 5 of us), to our cottage, etc.

It electric inflator - meaning you plug in the cord, push a button and in about a minute, it inflates - easy peasy.

I would definitely purchase another of this brand.

I wouldn’t want to sleep on it as my permanent bed, but yeah, for one-nighters (not that!) or short stints like what you are talking about, yeah.

Burt’s Bees Grab Bags are back for those who are interested.

I’ve been wanting to try Kate Somerville’s line but won’t pay that kind of money. Yesterday, I saw her line on Gilt.com at 50% off. For $45, I decided to give one of the items a try. Once I went to check out, Gilt applied a $25 credit to my purchase (for reasons unknown) so I got a $90 item for $20.

Lacoste Men’s Polos are $49 at Costco. College son wears them, but they’d make a good Father’s Day gift, too.

Kohl’s has ribbed tank tops on sale for $4.99. I had a coupon for $5 off - so a free tank top.
