I was at our local Rack story today and the line at the register stretched for MILES. Never saw anything like it. Grouponers?? I will go back mid week. Thankfully, less than 10 minutes away.

We had a new Costco open in our area today and one of my friends mentioned on her facebook that the expressways were empty because all of the cars were in the Costco parking lot! Am glad I decided not to stop in today (I may not be able to resist tomorrow, though).

Thanks northeastmom - I’ll keep that option in mind once I use up my stash. I keep forgetting to get my D to sign up for the free Amazon shipping for students so I can share it with her.

Puzzled, your welcome. I don’t know if you need prime to get the free shipping for the k cups, but I know that my DH has Prime.

Just FYI, I’m loving the Nook. Very easy to use, I like the BN coupons (free smoothie yesterday at the Starbucks in our BN store), easy to get help at the store. I loaded the James Potter series and am enjoying the books (I did run them through the Calibre converter to ePub format from PDF. The PDF font was too small and Nook couldn’t change it. Now it’s perfect, but I can change it if I want/need larger or smaller font size). I understand that BN is selling refurbished Nooks on their website, click on Nook then click on the picture of the Nook for more details. Scroll down and the bottom left will have a Certified Preowned Option. My Nook appears brand new in every way, I got the wifi, 3G Nook for $119. BN membership will expedit your shipping, but no further discount.

I was in BB & B the other day looking at quilts for son’s bed (he went to college and took his bedspread). Decided I’d wait until the one I really liked was on sale (had no coupon) and went to checkout with a small purchase. In line, I noticed the person in front of me had many many coupons…she “gets them ALL the time in the mail” (guess she’s more popular than I am!)…so she gave me one. I went back and got that quilt at 20 percent off! :)

mommusic-
Yes, yes, yes!
You have to get yourself onto that mailing list for BBB…I get those coupons ‘all the time’ also in the mail and keep them in my car! Never know when a good unanticipated trip to BBB might come up.

Nice that the lady in the store shared, isn’t it?
BTW, the store by us allows MULTIPLE 20% one item coupons in an order so in essence, we get 20% off our entire purchase. Really nice. Even K cups which is very very nice.

It’s funny, at back-to-school time I was getting the coupons regularly but they all expired (or got used) and I didn’t get new ones. Not sure what I’m doing wrong…

BB&B accepts all coupons-- expired or not. I just bought a new shower curtain, matching towels, etc and curtains for our guest bathroom and used 10 coupons for 10 items-- with coupons over a year old!

Ours does not, and I don’t think they’re supposed to. You must have had a very accomodating cashier.

^ This (accept all coupons regardless of date) is the policy of all the BB&B stores in our area.

^^same. I’ve used outdated BB&B coupons both here (central Ohio) and near D’s school (Boston). Never had a problem.

^^^ Agree that the policy on expired coupon has been that way for years, but I was told by a cashier last month that “we’re taking them for now, but not for much longer” - so maybe already changing in some places?

Oh no! I certainly hope this isn’t true. I save coupons forever, and have always been able to use expired ones. Just the other day I used 3 $5.00 off coupons – supposed to be for purchases of $15.00 or more, but the cashier let me use one on each of 3 different $14.99 items. Then I used 3 20% coupons on my remaining items.

The Nordstrom’s Groupon is back. I tried to buy it last week, it was sold out by the time I made up my mind, but it’s back today. (try Los Angeles, it worked for me)

BB&B here has always taken expired coupons and would also take Linen N Things coupons when they were still around. I get BB&B coupons in the mail all the time and their sale fliers in the Sunday paper also have a coupon. I have some that are over a year old, although I try to use the oldest ones first.

My son lives in a small city a couple of hours from us and his BB&B will not take the expired coupons, even when my son told them they are suppose to!! He had a very long “discussion” with the manager, but they wouldn’t budge. Not a problem, I just give him the newest coupons so he always has a few in his possession! At least I have trained one child right; he will call me and ask for a few newer coupons as he want to purchase this or that. He knows not to buy anything there without a coupon!

Many retailers offer similar subscriptions on their websites. I’ve set up a special e-mail account just for my retail e-mail subscriptions. I can’t believe how many coupons and one-day special offers I’ve gotten this year!

Seattle area BB&B have stopped taking expired coupons as of last week (when H tried to use one!)

Yup, zeebamom. I confirm that. :(
