Your guidance and impressions (TCNJ, UMD)

I want to major in accountancy and have been accepted to the The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) and honors program, U of Maryland business school and scholars, and Rutgers

I also applied to Lehigh, BU, GWU, and VIllanova

TCNJ is my first choice. It has really become an excellent school, and it is more competitive than ever. People in the top 5 percent and with 1300s have been deferred. The average sat at the school is currently a 1300 and 70 percent in top ten percent

Unfortunately, TCNJ is not well-known. I know that in business, the college which you receive your degree from is very important

UMD has an excellent business program, though far from ivy league, but im an out of stater so the tuition would be 2 times TCNJ

Would you advise going to an excellent lesser known school rather than a big name business school like UMD. I can tell you, the education that I get from TCNJ will be better than UMD. TCNJ has the second best national pas rate on the CPA, for undergrad

I am that I will have worked so hard to go to school no one has heard of, despite it being a really good school. I can just see an employer thinking it is a second rate LA school for kids with cs and 1000s on the SATS

What do you guys think? Any help will be appreciate in this time of indecisiveness.

Any opinions would be appreciated.

I would consider the lack of an Macct. degree a problem for TCNJ. Most take the five year route and get the Macc.
