The hardest class I took was actually technical writing. I messed up the first major assignment by not following the directions properly; I combined the “executive summary” and “introduction” into one section, but he wanted the two sections separately. His rule for assignments that didn’t follow the instructions was an automatic 50/100 if everything else was OK. Thankfully, he let everyone in the class redo his worst grade, so I pulled an A after redoing the assignment.

The hardest classes I’ve taken have been more about the teacher not the subject.

Scifi lit during my last semester was ridiculous! I thought it would be really cool and interesting. However, I didn’t connect with anything he chose for us to read. To make matters worse, we only had 2 grades in that class (midterm/final). The teacher said to take notes on everything he said…and literally EVERY WORD he said was on the tests. They were 20 page tests and no one could finish (even the grad students) in the the time we had. So you just missed those questions.

Also was this dumb news photography class. He wouldn’t give clear instructions for anything and he wouldn’t teach. Wouldn’t give anyone higher than a B, no matter how hard they worked. So ridiculous.

A probability course for economics majors. It kicked my ass, although I definitely learned a ton from the material and the final research paper.

I learned my lesson this past semester… NEVER take two history classes at once… they can and will kill you in the essay department…

Side note, i’m remidying this problem by takeing some english courses next semester…

Orgo so far. I’m told E&M is going to be worse though.

AP Lunch. :(

All right I’m kidding. Chemistry.

thermodynamics, orgo

Civil War & Reconstruction. Did surprisingly well, slaved away though. I blame it on the professor being the foremost scholar on Winfield Scott (and every other general in the south–I go to school in the south) and my awful understanding of extensive military history. Amazing prof though,
so it was all worth it.

You would think my engineering classes would be the hardest but I found history to be the most draining. I absolutely hate history. It’s boring as hell and I can barely summon the strength to feign that I’m paying attention in class.
Seriously, if I’m a mechanical engineering major, why the hell do I need to know about Hitler?

Just writing about history is making me bored.

^So that you are motivated to design weapons for fighting against people like Hitler! ;)

Haven’t really had a “hard” course but hardest I’ve had was probably Intermediate Microeconomics. Next year I’m going to take Tax (Accounting) and that’ll probably be VERY difficult… =/

Primate Evolution

There are so many small differences between such a broad range of primates. ._.
