Your Help would be Greatly appreciated!

Hello,
I am currently attending a community college for one year to cut costs but plan on transferring to a University. Orignally, I planned on becoming a Nurse and then, taking a Master's program to become a Nurse Practitioner.
....Now, I have decided that I would love to become a Doctor. I am a very, very dedicated student and will always make time for studying because it's important to me that I do well. The medical field has always been that one place where I could see myself someday working. I enjoy helping others and would really love to make a difference. Becoming a doctor would allow me reach my potential and earn a satisfying career. However,
starting out at a community college for this past year, I will have completed several non-science courses: (all transferrable credits)
-Intro to Pyschology-3 credits
-Intro to Sociology- 3 credits
-English I- 3 credits
-Western Civilzation- 3 credits
-Principals of Biology with Lab- 5 credits
-Anatomy & Physiology with Lab- 4 credits
-Philosophy- 3 credits
-English II- 3 credits

Keep in mind that I have kept a 4.00, I am unsure of the route I should take next and how long I may be an undergraduate for..

Can I still complete a degree as a Pre-med in 4 years and what classes would you recommend me taking next?

Any advice would be very helpful!

Also, do Medical School's frown the fact that I have taken one year at a Community College before transferring to a University?

Thanks for all your wisdom and time spent helping a student out!

Pre med isn’t a major. It’s collection of required courses that medical schools expect applicants to have completed. Those required classes vary somewhat from school to school, but always include:

2 semesters introductory biology +lab
2 semesters general chemistry + lab
2 semesters organic chemistry +lab
2 semesters introductory physics + lab
1-2 semesters of college level math (which is generally interpreted to mean calculus 1 plus an additional math class of equivalent difficulty)
1 semester of freshman composition

In addition, some schools require some or all of the following:

1 semester of biochem (+lab)
1 upper level humanities course
1 upper level writing intensive course
1-2 semesters anatomy & physiology (your CC credit probably isn’t enough)
1 semester genetics

You will need to check the admission requirements of the medical schools you’re interested in attending. And remember requirements can and do change. You’ll need to check every year to see if there are any changes.

Medical schools will not care where you started college.

It looks like you’ve taken some biology classes at your CC, you will need to check with an advisor at your 4 year college to see if your CC bio classes are equivalent to their introductory bio sequence. If they are, it’s strongly recommended that you take at least 2 more semesters of upper level biology classes at your 4 year school.

Good luck!
