your high school's SAT ranges

:) I wanna find out which public school in the USA has the lowest SAT average.

School averages (normal public school)

600 CR
600M
570 W

Not bad..way higher than the state and national average.

But then again...only 10% take the SAT..if more people took the SAT, I'm sure the averages would be wayyyy lower.

I know it's like 700 or somewhere around that range. (Small private school.)

chris2k5 I know that in LA schools (i don't live in LA), some public school averages for all sections are in the 380s, for just the seniors (and most of the seniors take the SAT)

My school is sooo bad. Makes me feel better about my "mediocre" SAT score.

APPROX Medians:

Math - 570
Reading - 520
Writing - 530

1080/1600
1605/2400

blueducky, your school isn't bad, it's average.

My school's averages (a large suburban public high school):

CR - 540
M- 540
W - 520

1080/1600
1600/2400

Not too bad

CR: 447
Math: 474
Writing: 436

921/1600
1357/2400

Fail =(

Critical Reading: 570
Math: 610
Writing: 580

We're at/below state average in everything lol.
But our ACT is above.

My high school average from the seniors last year is:

CR: 410
Math: 400
Writing: 410

Total: 1220

/thread.

Does this look favorably upon me when it comes to college apps, because I scored a whole lot higher?

The middle 50% is around 650-750 for both math and reading. 75 %tile for overall score is a 2250.

I'm not sure about recent years, but most of my friends do really well but I'm sure that there are a lot of not-so-smart people at my school.
anyways, my school website only gives stats from 2004
which are
