<p>Its’ exciting to hear which shows everyone is doing this year!</p>
<p>D’s last high school musical wasn’t the family’s last, as S plays in the pit and still has two to go. This year they’re doing Bye Bye Birdie, which although old will probably still be fun with the school’s new director.</p>

<p>D just finished last musical this past week - The Drowsy Chaperone. A great production, but of course a bittersweet moment for us. Even though new things are up ahead, it does feel like the end of a particular era in our lives.</p>
<p>MomCares: Just wrapped Birdie as well! I was Albert. 
Next on the agenda are a couple of straight theatrical pieces-- “A Nice Family Gathering” and “No Exit”, and I’m hoping to participate in Les Mis with a community theater this summer.</p>
<p>@StrangeBro - If I’d been a guy, Albert is a role I’d have loved to play. Hope you had a blast doing it!</p>
<p>Into the Woods- I’m the Baker! It’s kind of funny because I’m relatively short and have dark hair, just like Chip Zien. We’ve started rehearsals and perform at the end of April, right before AP Exams. Always fun.</p>
<p>This is our last show in the high school after having our d’s in the drama program for 8 consecutive years. We have been extremely lucky with both d’s getting the female lead in senior year. </p>
<p>D is cast as Rosemary in H2$. Older D was Belle in Beauty and the Beast. So happy to be ending on a high note for both girls in shows they love.</p>
<p>Younger d is going into NYU as an art major, so not sure when she’ll perform again. Older d is graduating NYU as a musical theatre major, so I’m also not sure when she’ll perform again.</p>

<p>@musicaliowan what a coincidence I’m currently in rehearsals for Into The Woods at my school for my last hs show!!! I’m little red ridinghood!! (: I love the show soo much & this year is the show’s 25th anniversary! Our shows are at the beginning of April though. Like everyone is saying, it is so bittersweet!</p>
<p>Geo and others… My d is the Witch… Their performance of Into the Woods is next weekend!</p>

<p>Sounds like we can assemble a CC cast of Into the Woods if you all want to do a virtual musical. Hmmm… I see everyone posting their parts on YouTube and someone editing them into a show (hah!). ;-)</p>

<p>Our school is doing Aida. My middle son who has not been interested in MT in the past decided to audition and is playing Zoser. He is having a great time!</p>
