Your mom goes to college: What does this mean?

I know it's from Napoleon Dynamite, but what the hell does it mean? I refuse to see the movie.

You have to see the movie to get it

uh no the movie's kinda stupid, don't see it

It doesn't mean anything, that's the point.

LOL
the movie is stupid... but it's still so funny... what a great movie

what does it mean?!?!?!?!?!??!

nothing - thats the point. And I agree - Napoleon Dynamite is a very stupid movie and not worth the $10 it cost to make.

you have to watch napolean dynamite more than once to understand the extreme lack of funnyness which makes it funny..
When I watched it first time round, I was like 'wt hell. what a lame movie. why would anyone find this funny' And I watched it again couple of days later and I was like 'hahahhahahahahahhahahahaha'

^ ditto ditto ditto

The sheer funky power of the Jamiroquai dance party at the end of the film makes the whole movie worth it.

This was seriously the WORST movie I ever saw. I couldn't be paid to see it again.

i loved that movie. so hilarious

Come on, it's not that hard to explain, even without context. Just keep in mind that everybody acts like an idiot/dork throughout the whole movie and it'll make sense, or maybe even be a little bit funny.

Deb is going door-to-door selling little bracelet things, and comes to Napoleon's house. Deb starts going through her "sales pitch", and says something like, "I'm selling these because I'm trying to earn money for college." From the background, Kip (Napoleon's brother) yells, "Your mom goes to college!"
