Your morning routine?

How much time do you spend getting ready in the morning? I'm out of bed and out the door in thirty minutes. But that's mostly because I shower and pick out my outfit the night before. How long do you spend getting ready in the morning?

...also, are you a guy or a girl? That might also be a crucial tidbit of info.

I usually don’t wake up the first time I have to haha.
I take long showers then sit in bed for a while after that, then eventually I go make breakfast.
I’m a guy.

Something like five minutes. I’m a girl.
I brush my teeth/hair, put on the clothes I got out the night before, put my boots on, and leave. I get coffee on the way to school.

(I don’t wear makeup on a regular basis. I want people to see me ugly most of the time so they’ll really appreciate it when I do look nice.)

^that’s really clever! And you don’t have to worry about having to do much!

@halcyonheather - LOL, the whole makeup thing, same here. I don’t wear make up or wear fancy schmancy clothes, so on days when I have to go all out and dress up, people be like “daaaayuuuuum.”

I just realized I said “people be like” without intentionally doing it. What is grammar?

I’m a guy. In total, I spend about 20 minutes getting ready, with half of that time being allocated to taking a shower, and the other half to brushing my teeth, getting dressed, and packing my things for the day.

Same here Secoja: I have an alarm set to 5:52 AM each morning, but I always just turn it off and fall back to sleep for an additional 10 minutes or so.

^5:52? Why so specific? Just curious.

Same here.

@Secoja: No reason in particular. Honestly, the only reason why it’s set to 5:52 is because when I tried setting my alarm to 5:50, I overshot it by two minutes, and I just decided to leave it there since I was too lazy to change it back.

I get up at 6:30 and eat breakfast at like 7.

I do wear makeup, foundation, mascara, eyeliner and lipbalm. That only takes 5 minutes or so.

I like looking pulled together. I wont walk out of the house in any form of sweatpants other than yoga pants.

@msltennis97 - I’m not too fond of sweatpants, but sometimes, once in a blue moon (I swear) - I’m like “eh, it’s a sweatpants day” and I’ll show up to school in my Adidas sweats because school might be hellish for whatever reason that day but at least my legs make a whooshing sound when I walk.

Everything is automatically better.

I wake up at around 5:50 on my own.
And then I try to go back to sleep, except I can’t. So I just end up lifting my head up to look at the time every 30 seconds or so until my alarm rings at 6:15 (does anyone else do this?)
Then I brush my teeth and change my clothes and sit around awkwardly wondering exactly what I need to bring to school that day until I leave at 6:45.

Wake up at 6:30, use the bathroom, brush, shave, shower, find/put on hopefully clean clothes, and grab any paraphernalia I might need.

Out of the door by 7:00.

I’m obviously a guy.

Not completely obvious, just saying…girls shave too, pal. (Though 99.9% don’t separate shaving and showering.)

@Halcyon
Hahahah your make up comment is gold.
6:40- Mom wakes me up
6:45- I actually wake up
6:45-6:50- Putting on uniform…
6:50-7:05- Hair
7:05-7:15- Make up
I’d love to go out without make up, but this girl’s gotta butt load of acne scars! And to add to that, I have a birthmark on my forehead. Lovely, just lovely. But hey, gotta be happy with what chu got.
Outta my house by around 7:25ish or so.

I was referring to the clean clothes part. Everyone else seems to lay out their clothes the night before.

^Oh I missed that part.

I wake up and groan realizing there’s school today. I shower at night because I have a twin and she showers in the morning. If I didn’t pick out my clothes the night before, I do it then. Then I do my hair and if I feel like it, my make up. I used to wear make up everyday, but as my schedule and work got harder it’s just more of a struggle and it depends on my mood. I get dressed and go downstairs waiting for my sister and someone to drive me to school. This usually takes only 10-15 minutes unless I have something special at school then it takes me longer, but only like 30 minutes tops. My style is really weird too it’s like whatever I feel like so one day I’ll be in yoga pants/sweatpants/leggings and then in a dress or skirt and then I’ll wear jeans. I’m a girl if you haven’t realized.

I only have four more days of being a senior at my school. Lately, I’ve been getting out of bed really…really late. Here’s my morning schedule for the past month or two:
630 Wake up
730 Get out of bed
740 Shower/Get dressed
810 Brush teeth
815 Freak out because school starts in 30 minutes
816 Do hair and quickly wah face
830 Drive to school and do make up on the way
842 Fast walk to class

OR this happens:

630 Wake up
730 Get out of bed
740 Shower/Get dressed
810 Brush teeth
815 Freak out because school starts in 30 minutes
820 Wash face and do make up
830 Do hair
835 Say, “Eff it. I’m not going to make it on time.”
845 Eat breakfast and watch morning cartoons
915 Leave for school.

And of course in order to make it o shool on time I have to speed (60+ mph)…but at least I make it on time. Sometimes…

Girl. And if I wanted to, I could be completely ready in about 6 minutes, not that I ever am.
I shower after swimming in the evenings, so in the morning I just take my hair down and sometimes put it back up again. Brush my teeth and wash my face occasionally. And put my uniform on, and have breakfast, which I can’t miss.
I get up at varying times depending on how tired I am and if I have homework to do in the morning. I can get up 7.50 latest if I’m cycling or about 7.30 if I’m taking the train.
