Your most dramatic change in High School.

What is the most dramatic change you've gone through since starting High School?

I became emo.

jk, but i did grow my hair out really long.

Personality changes. I was kind of withdrawn at the beginning of Year 10 (freshman year, but I’ve been in the same school from Y7-now), but then I became friends with this really outgoing guy who sort of linked me to a whole new group of people. With that, I became a lot more sociable too. Appearance-wise, I’ve changed the most out of all my friends…got contacts and cut about 8 inches off my hair.

I’ve become more independent and more willing to do things on my own regardless of what other people think. I’ve also become pretty set in my beliefs. This has made me quite different from my friends, and has also had the effect of making me quite lonely.

My hair was also cut short.

I can speak Spanish almost fluently and French to an intermediate level.

I got into books and reading. I stop caring about what others thing.
I also wear less make up and my hair is shorter.

Keep them coming! I guess my biggest change was really finding out “who” i was. Kind of sounds strange but I’ve grown as an individual more in these three (soon to be four) years, than i have in my entire life.

Umm I was the ‘rebel’ sophomore year.

I finally found out what I really excelled at (languages in general), and will most likely be doing a major in that area of study. Too bad my horrid math skills seem to outweigh all of that, though… I bet my verbal IQ is MUCH higher than my quantitative IQ.

Wait… actually, that realization occurred far earlier than high school. Never mind then. I do have to say, however, that it developed quite rapidly during this period of time. :)

I finally settled on my major passions (English/Writing, Languages, and Illustration).

I also became a lot of wiser in the way of high school social life. In other words, it’s utterly meaningless to me.

I realized how important writing is to me. And friends. Thank you, Interlochen Arts Camp and my newfound social circle.

Definitely girlier and nerdier.

I’ve lost my fear of speaking in public.

The way I dress.

I used to be epically sloppy in the way I dress.
Now I dress pretty well, or at least I think so.

I went from math-y to people-y. I’ll probably settle on science-y.

at the beginning i was very shy, into 11th grade became more outgoing, talk to more ppl, lost fear of speaking in public…and i wouldve never thought my closest friend would be a guy 2 yrs ago…but that happened lol
and appearance wise…got contacts

For me, I changed from a total shy person to someone who can enjoy speaking in front of people. Not just my friends. To finally gain a real good I-could-cry-on-your-shoulder- friend who enjoys my company. To fall in love, and cherishing that emotion. Switching from all C.P classes to all A.P classes. ( In which I do better in A.P classes than C.P)

Between middle school and high school, I went from big fish in a little pond to just another “nerd”.

I learned to do my own laundry in the boaring school.

More sociable and more confident.

In 9th grade, I was socially awkward beyond any description and so shy I barely spoke a couple of words in a whole day.

Now I cannot keep my mouth shut : ).
I am so thankful that I’ve changed so drastically.

Of course, I’m still awkward around girls I like : P

BTW, I’m a senior now
