Your opinion about the SAT scores

Do you think 2300 or above will guarantee at least one ivy league school?
How about 2200 or above?
How about 2100 or above?
Is it possible to get accepted to Ivy league with less than 2000?

No SAT score will “guarantee” a college acceptance to an Ivy League school. It helps, sure, but when applying to top private schools one should have a great overall resume, not just the scores. I would probably say a high GPA and a 2100 will get you a great chance at least one Ivy- but remember, nothing is ever guaranteed.

Ex. I have a 2360 on my SAT but I am not applying to any Ivies.

Edit: also, to answer your second question, of course it is. I know valedictorians who could not score above a 2000 but still ended up at great colleges. However, it is best to score above a 2000.

No guarantees. Legacies have a big advantage; they can have SAT scores 200-300 points lower but get in ahead of someone more academically qualified. With few spots to begin with, you need a strong SAT and other positives to have a good chance. But it doesn’t hurt to try, except for the fee.

I think 2300,4.0 uw, solid essays, will get you into at least one ivy.

Legacy is starting to matter less. The advantage isn’t all that “big,” it is just a slight edge.
