your opinion matters!

aloha people!
i am applying as a freshman for fall 2010 at harvard, stanford, princeton, yale, dartmouth, amherst, colgate, mit, st. joseph's, duke, upenn and some more.
my passion are computers, physics (especially engineering) and maths.
i have worked on several projects in my spare time: seoanalytic, mintarticles, trustler, factscollection (add .com to each of them to see my projects live :) ). those websites were created from scratch and no code has been copy pasted from other sources.
i have participated in various summer camps activities organized by renown organizations such as the swiss red cross, spark the wave, association of volleyball botosani, altair 2009...
i have done a lot of volunteer work in my city and for my school. i am the first student in my school to create and administrate the official website of my educational institution. i am also one of the very few students in my school that all teachers know and consider as a trustworthy person.
my grades are excellent.
sat 2: math 1-660, math 2-610, physics-660. sat 1-1800 (retaken in december and expect more than 2000). toefl-109.
my commonapp and supplement were written very well.
btw, i am from moldova (poor country in europe).
i need a full scholarship (i only have earned 3000usd for the plane ticket).
major interests: computer science, engineering, physics.

thanks!

thanks people!
i really appreciate your kind words!

you’ll be fine

your SAT II scores are a bit low (hopefully you get somewhere between 2100-2300’s on your SAT I from December). The fact that you’re from Madova might help, and your EC’s look alright, although I can’t really get an idea of what exactly all those renowned things that you’ve participated in are. Perhaps if you elaborate in your essays (make sure those are well written!) you will have a decent shot at all those ivies.
But really, I suggest having a few safety schools, as ivies are a reach for everyone.

hi slater!

thanks for your input. as you said there will be no problems with my application, and I am really excited to hear that.
you also noted that I have great chances to enter a university from the ivy league because of my great enthusiasm and desire to contribute to the society, and that made me feel very good, because learning at a prestigious institution has always been my desideration.

Thanks for your circumspect opinion.

Sincerely,
visvires

thanks for your candid opinion. my essays were written very well. as safety schools I have chosen some religious universities that offer majoring in computer science. the main problem is that I can’t afford to pay none of the 4 years, and the only solution are those private ivy schools, because of their policy of a need-blind financial aid (although partial true for international students). I hope the admission staff will select me on the criteria of maturity and desire of contribution, not by SATs.
