In-State:
Florida International University
University of Miami
University of Florida

Out of State:
Georgia Tech
Cornell
Carnegie Mellon
University of Michigan- Ann Arbor
University of Illinois
University of Texas at Austin

Some of these i'm pretty sure i will get rejected from, I will be glad just to go to University of Florida but out of all of them i like UIUC the most. But unless i get a significant amount of financial aid i will stay in-state. UIUC looks perfect though!!!

You've applied for bright futures already, right? (I'm a FL resident too.) If not, do it NOW!

Also, you might want to apply to a few other schools in FL if you choose to stay in-state to take advantage of the scholarship, such as FSU, UCF, and New College of Florida. (All of these are STILL accepting applications!) Also, if you're concerned about financial aid, UMiami might not be viable for you, even if you do get in. I just know that FIU is one of the least regarded state schools among my friends, so I'm suggesting some others in case UF doesn't work out for you.

Also, I feel you have a very good chance at UIUC. Good luck!

appreciate the help Dvm. Yes I did my bf and maybe I should apply to more fl schools. I was just thinking that if I didn't get into uf I would leave state for a better school but last thing I want is to end up in fiu so i'll follow your advice. I really hope ateast uf accepts me though

I don't know much about financial aid at UIUC because I didn't apply for it but I did get a pretty sweet OOS merit-based scholarship (I'm from MA) and my resume wasn't as jacked up as yours so wait and see if you get a nice money-laden envelope in the mail from them before you decide.
