To any resident posters out there.... here is something I have written, I would like your honest assessment before I turn it in

Tramalfadorians shriek shriek shriek
for it is you who have to seek
the color of a brother
what is wrong
are you blind
to see the truth
that we are invisible until you seek the sooth
darkness is galore
when you see the gore
however, it is quite trie
to say that we are optic white
(c)

a little poetic reflection on college admissions

Good to hear from you again Edgar after your mini-hiatus. I think it's too deep for me but I like the pretty words :)
Maybe a little analysis might help the ignorant.

its basically a poem synthesizing the themes of slaughterhouse 5 and Invisible Man and how they relate to college admissions

oh and also.... on line 10 it is supposed to be trite not trie

i caught the vonnegut but i'm afraid the ellison went right over my head.

well, you know how in the paint factory they always mix in a little black to create the perfect "optic white" paint... well, Im saying that there is no such veneer which creates the perfect applicant

also

"darkness is galore
when you see the gore"

refers to the ruthless method and techniques by which admissions officers "tear" into our apps

ha ha ha... its a bit morbid to say the least but also quite optimistic

oh...gotcha! lol...especially the part about the adcoms.

lol, did you mean to make it a concrete poem?

or am I just insane? cuz I sooo see a sergeant and a dog eating a liar's nose.
