Your Opinion

For those who've been to UCF, and have checked out housing or know someone who goes to UCF and resides at the Orlando campus, what in your opinion (or that person's opinion), is the best place to get a dorm for freshman year? I'm only planning to stay on campus for one year and I've heard that the L-shaped Libra dwelling is pretty nice in residential hall. But what is your opinion? And if you could, would you spend your first year on campus again? Include pros and cons if you want. I just need a better perspective on my future living situation. And oh yeah, with doubles, does the bathroom area get really dirty in comparison to community bathrooms. I heard with the communities, they're cleaned once daily while shared is left up to students' responsibility. I don't think UCF has community resident bathrooms, but I just want to know.

Nike all the way. Super convenient, big bathroom, and very social

Yea, I heard Nike/Hercules was pretty nice, but the apartments weren’t intended for freshmen. Anywho, thanks I’ll look into that. I need to send in my housing agreement asap.

There are three residence halls each in Nike and Hercules that are for freshmen (four apartment buildings each for upper classmen). Four people in a 2 bedroom suite that share a single bathroom in the halls.

I had a niece go to ucf and she stayed in Nike/hercules and liked them a lot. Said she really liked the convenience of being by gym, pool, and marketplace dining hall.

I’ve viewed some video tours and the floor plans, but I will go and review each just to ingrain them in my mind. I’ve heard great things about Nike/Hercules so this is a great confirmation that it is a fitting place to live. Thanks, and I will go look into them once more. Hopefully, I will get my preference for residency.

I submitted my housing a few weeks back and I chose Libra-Pod as my top choice because of its proximity to everything and also because the Pod-Style Dorms have a common room for the entire floor so I thought that was pretty cool since you will truly get to meet everyone on your floor and I guess it will make for a great experience, that is why I chose Libra-Pod as my first

I haven’t heard of Libra-Pod, only L-shaped and Rectangle-shaped, but I like how Libra is close to the Rec center (same as Nike/Hercules), and next to dining. Geez, I really need to submit my housing if I want even a slim chance of being on campus. I think a lot of people have already done so and I’m going for summer.
