I signed up to take AP Physics on May 20th. (make up day)
I'm not interested in any field of science, and I do not take the AP class in high school right now.
Since I waived the testing fee (~$90) thanks to my family's financial issue.

Honestly, I do not know anything about the subject. (Currently taking honors Physics, but the class does not cover a lot of AP Physics B material)
I take AP econ on 5/12, and I have 7 days to study.

Do you think I should AT LEAST try in the 7 days and take the test?
Or give up and enjoy my rest of senior (18 days) until the commencement?

Studying AP Physics B independently is really challenging.
I would say I know some basics of mechanics (ex. kinematics,)
but that's all.

BTW the college gives 10 credits if I get 4 or 5, that's why I signed up in the first place--to get the college credits. But I don't know...

I know I would get very stressed I had to study after 5/12,
on the other hand, I might regret not taking it if I give up

I want your HONEST opinion:

Do you think someone who does not know about physics can get a 4
by studying 7 days and nights right before the exam?

1) Do you have the resources to self-study? Meaning do you have access to practice tests, prep books, online student websites for textbooks, and of course, don’t be afraid to ask people in CC if you have questions.

2) I think it is within your benefit to self-study AP Physics B. You would save much money in college by getting the 10 extra credits. Remember that AP Physics B does not involve math.

3) Do you have motivation to study for the exam? What grade are you getting in your Honors Physics course?

4) Take a look at Collegeboard FRQs!

1) I have Princeton’s Review AP Physics, but that’s all I got
2) It’s possible to get a good result within 7 days?
3)Not really, that’s the big problem. I got B, and this semester, B-?
4) I guess I need to at least try?

To be honest with you, Physics B is hard. Unless you have some weird penchant for physics (which it is possible that you may) you will likely find the material rather challenging. I would say you should go for it but don’t set your goals too high–some salutatorians from my school have not gotten 5s. But each person is different and I wish you luck if you go for it!
