Your Opinions Please!

So here is my story, as short as I can get it. Thank you so much (in advance) for reading and for your thoughts!

I completed one year at a small liberal arts college in Ohio. Got very involved in the school (part of several clubs, volunteering groups, greek life, etc) and got relatively good grades, my GPA is around 3.5 or so.

Previously I went to a prestigious boarding school, got around a 3.8 GPA. My ACT scores were really low, somewhere 26 or 27 (I can't remember).

I am considering transferring because while I enjoyed my school, it is very far from home and I was not satisfied with the department in which I intended to major (Psychology). I also am looking for a school with more of an artsy touch, and perhaps a better surrounding area.

All of this has led me to look at Skidmore College. My question for you is: what are my chances? Should I get my hopes up? Do you have any advice?

Thank you SO much.

anyone? I know you’re busy but it’d be super helpful…

It would help if we knew where you are located.

I’m from the Vermont / New England area.

Skidmore made Huffington Post’s list for colleges that leave students in the most debt. Is that an issue? If so, that’s definitely worth considering.

College board has their transfer admissions rate at ~49% so your chances are decent. Good luck!
