Accepted to: UChicago, Berkeley, Swarthmore, Wellesley, Reed, Barnard, Smith, Oberlin, Northeastern, and Lewis & Clark
Waitlisted: Amherst and Bryn Mawr (oddly enough, because they were a safety…)
Still waiting on Brown and Cornell. Crossing my fingers for Brown!! And congrats to everyone else here on their acceptances!
Accepted: Mizzou, Minnesota, Kentucky(with a $8k a year scholarship)
Waitlisted: Marquette, Tulane(After being deferred). Took myself off both waitlists.
Rejected: Wisconsin
Great school if it fits your personality and goals. VT is better for engineering. UVA has great business and tracks into law or medicine. UVA will be a much different campus experience than GW or NYU. My daughter was accepted but it just doesn’t feel right to her…cannot even get her to return for the Admitted Students Days. (I guess having Hokie parents may have tainted her).
Accepted: Johns Hopkins, Vanderbilt, Swarthmore, Temple, Rutgers, Northeastern, Drexel, NJIT
Rejected: Duke
Waiting: the entire Ivy League
I’m totally loving what I’ve learned about Swat, Vandy, and Hopkins so far though, so even if I’m rejected everywhere on the 31st, I’ll be happy
Applied to 12 schools in total; 8 privates and 4 UCs.
Accepted: UCSD, UCD, UCB, UCLA, RPI, Cornell(likely letter for women in engineering).
Waitlisted: WUSTL, Vanderbilt
Rejected: Rice, Duke, JHU
Most likely will be rejected but nevertheless applied: Harvard lol.
@drcharisma - Congrats on great acceptances this far! I strongly believe you will get a superior education at Swarthmore (or Bowdoin!) over the schools that waitlisted you.
@doschicos Thanks! I’m not saying that UNC or Georgetown are bad institutions, I’m just slightly surprised. I’m surprised because UNC and Georgetown were “match” schools for me, while Swarthmore and Bowdoin were high reaches. It’s funny the way life works out.
