I recently saw an SAT to ACT score conversion chart. Wanted to know how people did in each test. How accurate is this chart and do colleges use it?

I got a 1290 (I think) on the SAT and a 32 on the ACT.

My first and only SAT test I got a 1180, a month or so later I got a 26 on the ACT--identical on the conversion chart. Just found out today I got a 28 (which converts to a 1260 SAT) on my second ACT, every subject was higher except the math was lower, which is probably because I haven't taken a math class since last Spring. I think the conversion is pretty accurate in my case. I like the ACT much better than the SAT.

i have a friend who got 1370 on SAT I and 34 on ACT, wat's up with that???

Act: 35
Sat: 1500

I get 31-33 on practice ACTs, and I got a 1490 SAT. I find the SAT to be easier.

34 ACT
1450 SAT

I preferred the ACT. I thought the problems reflected what a high schooler would learn better than the problems on the SAT. Even better, there were no analogies (that I remember)! I also really liked the science and reading sections, although I've heard they kill some people.

Analogies are my favorite. I'm glad that I don't have to take the new SAT, because I'm sure that without analogies my score would only go down.

31 ACT (32 if did a composite of both tests) and 1300 SATs

28 (31 if a composite of two tests) and 1200 SATs

My S's scores correlated to the chart: 1480 on SAT and 33 (composite) on ACT.

34 ACT but 1320 SAT!!!!!!!1

act 33 sat 1500

sat1420
act33

act 33
sat 1320

sat 1530
act 35

act 29, sat 1380

32 Act
1330 Sat

act 33
sat 1550

I'm pretty much in the same boat as athlonmj- I have a 33 ACT and 1540 SAT.
