I am applying for Fall 2011 and am an international. Here are the scores I am applying with:

SAT Reasoning:
750M (770), 730CR, 800W - 2280 (2310 Super-score) - my math scores a shame, I have distinctions in international maths competitions

SAT Subject Tests:
800 Math II
800 Physics

So what SAT scores were you accepted with?

Your scores are obviously good enough for any college.

SAT Reasoning: 2280 - CR 740, M 800, W 740
SAT Subject Tests: Math2 800, World History 800, Chemistry 780

See, another stupid mistake - I made many on the SAT Reasoning Math. My Super-score is 2300…

SAT Reasoning: 2330 - CR 740, M 800, W 790
Sat Subject Tests: MathII 800, Biology M 770

Your scores are fine. Dartmouth admissions is about more than that.

Now that I’m an admitted student, I can see how pointless this kind of thread is. The score distribution of accepted students ranges from relatively low SAT scores to very high SAT scores.

However, when I was applying, I do remember caring about these kinds of things quite a bit, so I’ll contribute my scores to the thread.

SAT: 800 (M), 800 (CR), 800 (W)
SAT II: 800 (Math II), 790 (U.S. History)

Most of the test scores that you see published for colleges are for enrolled students, not admitted students. Scores for admitted students are higher than for those who enroll. However, Dartmouth provides test scores for admitted students that can provide some insight into the difficulty of being admitted.
[Dartmouth Testing Statistics](http://www.dartmouth.edu/admissions/facts/test-stats.html)
Only 38.7% of applicants with an 800 on CR were admitted. Only 25.3% with an 800 in math were admitted. Clearly, good scores help, but as bluesails says, "Dartmouth admissions is about more than that. "

I got waitlisted with 530 CR 600M 560W. Dartmouth likes a person that is more than their SAT scores.

Wow, what was your GPA and what were your ECs?

nathalia is hooked. Even then, frankly, I’m very surprised that they would waitlist someone with such low SATs. You must have written one great essay, and your recommendations must paint you as someone not to be missed.

There are plenty of people who apply who are far more than their SAT scores, and they are rejected in droves.
