<p>I don't know if you guys know your PSAT average
but my schools average is about 180.
That seems pretty high, cuz the national avg is about 145 or something</p>

<p>my school's pretty large, so i really have no idea...maybe around 160...</p>

<p>On a tangent, how many commended students did your school have and how many semifinalists and how big is your class?</p>

<p>jersey... right here... class of about 450 maybe 5 semis... 20-30 commendeds</p>

class of 80, ~8 commended (+ or - one), and 1 semi-finalist
absolutely NO idea what the average was!</p>

<p>My class has about 280 with probably 3 Commended and no Semi-Finalists</p>

<p>I'm in all the Honors classes and I guess overestimated the intelligence of my class because I was really surprised that there were so few high scores.</p>

<p>Well my highschool didn't tell us how many there were, but the average was actually 179 <----not an estimate.
we have about 22~30 semis.(cuz we don't know the cutoff yet :) )
I asked about at least 15 of them and they all had 215 or higher.
Even some of the potheads had 220s.
Well the class size is just a little less than 450 and half the town are doctors.
would you guys say that my highschool is competitive??
Its crazy cuz most of my friends got semis and I only got 193(and 93%tile)</p>

<p>22-30 semifinalists out of a class size of 450 makes your school very competitive. Even the best school in my area only got 8 semifinalists with that class size.</p>

<p>My class size is around 350 with 25 semifinalists. We have IB, and there are about 150 in there. All the semis are IB, so 25/150. The other students are just normal, but if we were only IB, well you get the picture.</p>

<p>Last year, there were 49 recognitions:</p>

<p>21 National Merit Semifinalists
25 National Merit Commended students
2 National Achievement honorees
2 NHRP Scholars (1 also commended)</p>

<p>This is both of the high schools in the township; we have two: one has a class of about <200 and the other <400ish (i have no clue, i go to the small one). So I guess the two schools combied would be around <600</p>

<p>Boethia, you guys have 150 IBers? My school as trouble trying to achieve 20! But then again, we have a class of <200.</p>
