You can't pick 1000, the whole point is to make the difficult choice of picking a top few. You sir, are a cheater. If the purpose of this thread was to list all your favorite bands, the OP would have titled it "Your favorite bands?" I hope you've learned your lesson.

Linkin Park

Backstreet Boys

Bon Jovi

I like Shakira too, but then she doesnt really constitute a band. Or does she? :D

HM: Nightwish

the beatles, obviously i hope you can tell from the name

the beach boys
3 electric light orchestra

the beatles is not a band!

they are a pantheon of music gods....

My top 3:

1.) The Beatles
2.) U2
3.) The Who

The Beatles were always special for me not just because they're freaking amazing, but I grew up listening to them. I was listening to them when pretty much everyone else my age was obsessed with The Backstreet Boys and The Spice Girls. I even got teased in school at times because I was listening to "old music." Luckily, my peers eventually saw the light and embraced the musical brillance that is the Fab Four.

Green Day, Nickelback and Death Cab For Cutie (in no particular order). That's how it is now.

Wow most of your music tastes are pop music that sucks. Nickelback are you kidding me? Blink 182. Sum 41, Good Charlotte? Might as well add fall out boy LOL. The only people who have any sense of music knowledge put led zeppelin or queen, as well as metallica(pre-alternica).

Mine.
1. Avenged Sevenfold
2. System of a Down
3. Metallica
4. John Lennon
5. Jimi Hendrix
6. Led Zeppelin
7. Queen
8. Aerosmith
9. Slayer
10. Disturbed

Sirajoman, I completely agree that Sum 41, Blink 182, etc. are terrible bands... but I would prefer that people listened to music they actually liked and knew about. I hate it when people are all "The Beatles and Led Zeppelin are my favorite bands WHEEE!" when they only know "Hey Jude" and "Can't Buy Me Love."

I didn't know having "any sense of music knowledge" meant listening to a generic blend of classic rock and bad metal that you could hear on any mainstream radio station (or lame bar).

I mean, yeah Nickelback sucks, but you listen to System of a Down, dude.
