Your Top 5 Bands

Beatles

Queen

Rinse and Repeat

(I like musicals too though)

I’m not a big fan of musicals, except if it’s Grease or The Sound of Music.

And this is excluding the Disney Renaissance musicals, all of which I love so dearly. I <3 “Colors of the Wind” and “Part of Your World”.

Bach >> Chopin >>>> Mozart ^_^

Not in terms of “talent”, per se, but just enjoyability. Mozart bores me soooo much. >_<

I think the thing I dislike most about Mozart is that he’s what non-classical-listeners automatically think of when they think of “classical music”. He makes it seem so tame and stuffy. If only they knew there were rock stars like Prokofiev and jazz cats like Gershwin. :)

I love the fact that all his music communicates his quirky personality. His chamber music is especially loony. :)

The Lion King > all

Am I the only one who finds Hakuna Matata to be incredibly poignant? The line that goes, “It means no worries, for the rest of your dayyyyyyys”, nearly makes me want to cry. :(

I know what you’re saying. Mozart is good for lighthearted or bouncy music, but there isn’t much depth. Still, his music is so common that it’s easy to get a good recording.
